Really nice little motel ran by a friendly and thoughtful family.
We had a standard room, we just turned up in the day as we had been doing all over Canada all week and was amazed at how good the room was for the price.

Very clean, everything thought about to make a stay perfect.  If we come back in the summer/ spring this will be top of our list

This place was a little run down. Although the room was clean the pillows smelt of sweaty heads. The outside area wasn’t great the outside furniture was in poor condition. Cars were parked immediately in front of several chalets and this was very unpleasant for seating outside your room.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a two evening stay at this inn and really enjoyed ourselves!  The room was very clean, comfortable and modern.  The grounds and dock area were fun to explore and we were able to relax on the muskoka chairs overlooking the lake a few times.  The staff were very friendly and quick to answer any questions and offer suggestions. 

Great stay at the Sunset Inn on the Park

The beds were so comfy and the room was wheelchair-accessible.  Our room had A/C and a fireplace. The owners were great and it was a relaxing place to stay.  I recommend it and would stay there again.

Relaxing respite.

I booked the room through Expedia, not realizing the Inn was not Pet Friendly..I arrived and checked in with my small senior dog(10 pounds).. after only two hours I was rudely confronted by a surly owner and asked to leave..when I asked if I could at least finish my dinner, he told me I could as long as I put my dog in my car..I explained it is summer and could not, he demanded I leave immediately..no refund!! It was the worst experience I have ever had..DO NOT book this hotel!

Not pet friendly..not human friendly.

Stayed one night on our way further north. So nice we stayed again on our way home. Fresh and very clean room. Nice dock and beach on a pretty bay. Friendly and helpful owners. Nice restaurants right next door. Good vibes from everyone staying there. A bit of noise from drinkers but they were working and didn't party very late. Maybe it's because we haven't done this for 2 and a half years but we had a great time.

Spotless, Comfortable and Perfect Location

this place is located on a busy street in north bay. even with earplugs you can hear trucks on the road at night. the owner was surly and defensive about this tho did offer a refund before we checked in. the room itself was clean and comfortable.

We stayed last summer (it's a lovely place so we returned) and there were drunk, loud people at 2:00 am outside at a common area picnic table.  One of the men was using filthy language because he appeared to be obviously impaired. We called the owners who spoke to them but just told them to move, which they did to the front near the water and it was even louder.  Owners didn't monitor the situation and we cancelled the rest of our stay.  In the morning the owners said they couldn't control this.  My question is "then who is and who controls the property".  I wanted the one night refunded because we did not sleep and management didn't ensure it stopped either by  monitoring themselves  or calling the police..  Th owner also said something strange to me that he cannot control  people who drink and drive.  The owner doesn't seem to know where private property starts and ends and what is public property.  Absolutely unfortunate.  We will definitely not return.

LOUD, DRUNK, NOISY PEOPLE

A beautiful, clean and comfortable stay. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. For a bit of old school entertainment DVDs are available for free. (This is how we used to watch movies). 
Waterfront log cabins with clean and comfortable amenities. This is a highly recommended stay in North bay.

Cozy charming stay by the lake

I stayed in a charming, rustic little cottage right on the hotel's private and perfect little beach, and the cottage was spotless in every nook and corner.  Any hotel that keeps an older building that clean deserves full stars.  In addition to the lovely location, and 2 restaurants next door, one of which delivers, the service at Sunset was exceptional.
