Outstanding stay, clean updated rooms, family owned & the management was beyond helpful, super friendly & highly recommend after the 4 previous motels we stayed in this was the best. 
We asked for a portable heater & 1 appeared in our room shortly. We ended up staying 10 days but booked out twice thinking appointments were finished, the Manager made sure that portable heater followed us to our new rooms.
Super friendly family & the Manager actually talks to his guests instead of being ignored after booking in like most.
Highly recommend this motel, it's our go to when in North Bay.


Outstanding stay

This is a “no frills” motel but it gives you access to beach view across the street and really has everything you need . The exterior was clean and bright and looked freshly painted. Hubby and I came in exhausted ( we are on a cross continent road trip) and we got the suite which is actually a detached building in the back. We had our own porch (maybe 6x10 ) & bbq . We had a big room with a kitchenette, a king bed & fireplace ( the wall controlled type) and a garden tub ( we also had a bathroom with shower,  if soaking in the jetted tub isn’t your thing - but it is relaxing) . The staff was great and because we couldn’t figure out the fireplace controller - they even responded to our room within minutes to help us get the fireplace turned on - it wasn’t really cold out but we wanted the ambiance and it was very nice to have ( it was stormy so we got a thunderstorm with our fireplace) . Since we really didn’t want to go out again we used DoorDash to get dinner and their were several options in the vicinity. The other thing we are grateful for is it was a motel - we had lots of luggage from the duration of our trip- & several of the chain hotels in the area , which have multiple floors - have no elevators.  My hubby has a bad knee and we had already stayed in a multistory hotel with only stair access and were making the effort to avoid that issue. If you have heavy luggage or bad knees make sure you check on the elevator thing if you don’t stay at a ground floor motel.

Everything I needed

We wanted someplace in walking distance to Churchill’s Steakhouse. We were pleasantly surprised by how well maintained the property was. Even though it is an older motel it was clean and had nice newer decor with a modern look. The owner was very courageous & friendly and the cost was acceptable, compared to most.

Pleasantly Surprised

Found this little place last minute and glad I did. Stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was very clean , well appointed with dishes, dish soap for the little kitchenette. Lots of storage for clothes, iron board, iron etc. We stayed for 6 days,  with extended stays , given the times, daily full housekeeping wasn't available but to me it isnt necessary anyway and I was going to say dont bother because I know how to make my own bed, I'm not disrespectful and will take care of your space. I was asked at least once a day , if not twice if I needed anything. Very friendly , accomodating hosts who really took great care and attention to their cute little property. There is another room that looks nice as well, a chalet suite in a separate little building , it has a larger kitchen and a bit more privacy with some extra shaded space for lawn chairs. Our room had the little kitchenette with dishes ( nice) with a comfy couch , dining table , big closet for clothes as well as a large dresser, a separate room with the jacuzzi tub and bed room , a two way fireplce between for colder nights another nice feature . 2 person shower with 2 separate shower heads was nice too.Only 7 rooms , nice little bench out front the door, a bbq to use , childrens play area as well as picnic tables in a shaded green space. New matresses , the beds were very compfy , lots of pillows, which we watched get swapped out between visits - very clean - we witnessed their efforts. It is a short walk to sunset park , like 5 minutes which has a nice beach for children and yes very nice sunset pics. Check out Duchesney Falls if youn visit , there is also a North Bay eats app to use instead of the rest, free delivery over 20 and its the towns app instead of big corp. Really happy we found this place and look forward to returning

Cute hotel, friendly , caring hosts.

Positive feedback first... beds are very comfortable. There is an old microwave and bar fridge that work and we’re clean. The windows open, there was a fan in the bedroom and an older model AC in living area. You can park right in front of your door and no stairs. Mostly clean.
Cons.... walked in and first thing our eyes caught were the two squished mosquitoes on the wall. Stood there and saw two more.  
I/4 of a roll of toilet paper and not a spare to be found. We ran out and resorted to Kleenex. Yes we could have called front desk. That’s not the point. Bathroom is renovated with nice marble walls but the shower is old and there’s barely room to sit on the toilet. There was a musty smell when we first walked in, we opened the windows and turned the fan on and this morning not so bad. I recommend a good cleaning of walls and door frames, lots of drips and dirty hand marks.

Over priced 

very clean and quiet location, stay of 2 nights, several activities less than 6 km from the hotel and the very beautiful Champlain Park nice place for swimming and especially a nice place for kayaking
