Beautiful house and area, close to everything downtown.
Many cafes and restaurants nearby.
Ottawa University close by.
Rooms and facilities all up to date.
Breakfast yummy.

This B&B is an absolute gem if you are visiting Ottawa, Richard’s hospitality is second to none and his local knowledge is brilliant! The house and rooms are just beautiful and Sandy the dog is a lovely boy! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we were ever back in the area! I’d give it more stars if I could! 

Ottawa winter trip November 2023

Auberge King Edward is a lovely place to stay. The host, Richard, is hospitable and welcoming, and offers good advice on where to walk and what to visit in Ottawa. The breakfast is wonderful and fresh. I really enjoyed my stay in the Tower Room, and look forward to returning to Ottawa -- and Auberge King Edward -- in the future. 

A lovely stay

Our stay at the Auberge was a delight from start to finish - from our warm welcome to the stories of this incredible old home beautifully restored and a breakfast that sustained us long into the day. Well located for walking distance around town. Our room had a balcony providing a quiet respite for sipping wine before a restful sleep. Highly recommended.

A lovely oasis...

Our stay at the Auberge King Edward was exceptional. Richard and his delightful dog Sandy are wonderful hosts. This period home, on a block of registered heritage buildings, is beautifully appointed with all sorts of interesting furniture and objects. The breakfast was delicious. It is; however, Richard’s magnificent garden with all sorts of exotic plants, that is a true wonder. And, he not only cares for his own garden, he has landscaped and tends to the gardens in the entire block!  Honestly, if you are looking to stay in central Ottawa, you couldn’t find a better place! We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful heritage home and garden

The host Richard is welcoming and interesting without being intrusive. He knows Ottawa and advises in French or English. The B&B is perfectly maintained, clean, warm and comfortable. The house is very beautiful and full of history. The breakfasts are excellent. We highly recommend.

Superb comfortable B&B

Warm and cozy place with palace like  breakfast.
And if you don’t know anything about Ottawa, you’re in the right place for great guidance from a friendly host. Roomy bedroom. Must try the muffins and croissants

Pleasantly surprised!

We spent 2 nights there as a family (2 parents, 2 teenagers), in 2 large double rooms side by side with bathroom right next door. The photos of this beautiful Victorian-looking house, rich in beautiful decoration and green plants, and the excellent condition of the house, had been the arguments of our initial choice. We were not disappointed: the house is superb, spacious and very well located near Sandy's pedestrian sites. The 2 large rooms we had were very quiet and comfortable. But we also greatly enjoyed the quality of hospitality and warmth of our host Richard.

Vaste is a lovely house with a lovely host

During our stay in Ottawa, we particularly enjoyed our accommodation at the Auberge, located on King Edward Avenue, within walking distance of the city centre, without having to use the car. The accommodation is cozy and comfortable and has free parking. The owner of the property, Richard, is bilingual and welcomes us with his dog Sunny. After the presentations, listening to our accommodations, Richard offers us personalized and practical information about the main attractions of the city, not to mention the Canadian Museum of History, located in Gatineau.

This was our first time staying at the Auberge The King Bed and Breakfast and it was fantastic. The accommodations and locations were perfect and the tourist suggestions were right on. We hope to return
