The story is simple. we got to the room and there were 3 worms on the floor (which means you have to go without shoes by the house rules), 1 blister of empty pills next to the window and an envelope of some Asian food under the bed. all this tells me how they cleaned the room... I understand and understand that in nature there are creatures but I slept in worse hostels (this was the most expensive and better-rated place where we wanted to stay on our trip) and there were no spiders. I came here, and next to the bed there were 3 worms dragged down the floor. the funny thing is that it looked like they were coming out from under the wheels, so to know there were more insects but I didn't allow myself to hide the fact that they had 3 or 4 more rooms, so we decided to go into the room and say no more because we didn't want to spend a lot of time in the room.

They did not return me the 130€ of a house that I had once owned.

Can't say enough good things about Kat and her wonderful accommodations.  She was extremely helpful from first contact throughout our stay.  She helped us with advice about rafting, dining and other adventures.  It was evident by the people we met while we were there that she is universally liked and respected.  The other guests were a welcome mix of Canadians, international travelers and one other couple from the US and we enjoyed meeting them all.  Oh yes, the breakfasts were WONDERFUL.  Because it is located in the heart of many amazing places to visit, you should stay at Kicking Horse Canyon B&B for several days while you explore this corner of the beautiful Canadian Rockies.

very pleasant stay

I would have liked to have given it five stars because... the room with no TV was very spacious and super clean. Also the reception and service were very friendly and hard to beat. Highlighted is the freshly prepared, largely German-oriented real breakfast that you don't find in any hotel. The location is also totally nice and quiet, although very close to the TCH. I chose this B&B because I didn't have any desire for overcrowded and overpriced hotels in Jasper National Park and was very well advised. In Lake Louise, you should start - you should leave the first totally unhealthy desert field - in an hour.

Great accommodation with mats.

3 nights at Kathy's in an independent cabin, mezzanine room overlooking the valley and the horses, absolute calm, family atmosphere at breakfast at the guest table where every day our host prepares a different specialty, charm, human warmth and the calm of the forest, enjoy.

Kate the owner is so welcoming to her beautiful wood lodge highlights are great, substantial, breakfast, mountain views, lovely hot tub, great recommendations of what to see in area. Expect horseback rides in the future.

Canadian dream locale

In this cozy bed and breakfast, we felt very comfortable, and for breakfast together with all the guests, we were spoiled with a delicious bagel and fresh fruit and yogurt, and we were able to plan our gates in the nearby area. Thank you very much for your time. 

The original blockhouse

We were travelling from Drumheller to Nakusp, Golden was the halfway point.  We were very pleased when we learned there was a vacancy at this B&B.  It was a short distance out of Golden, and was very quiet and peaceful.  Kat was very friendly and welcoming, and the house sold itself.  Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Great views, and the deer on the lawn were a fun diversion.  Breakfast was delicious, fresh and hot, and we enjoyed visiting with Kat, her son, and Avery.  We will be back for sure!

A great stay in a beautiful location!

We stayed at Kicking Horse B&B in September and had a great stay there..  room was very clean and comfy. We were given a great breakfast every morning and Kat and her team are super helpful and do their utmost  to make your stay enjoyable.. we left some swimming gear behind after a hot tub, and it was promptly mailed home to us .. thank you Kat .!

Very enjoyable stay at Kicking Horse  Canyon B&B

Kat is super friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was very good, and she made a nice to go version for our early morning departure. The house has 2 social spaces, so you can choose your level of interaction. It probably books up, so plan ahead.

So nice we stayed twice

I was really impressed with this B&B, the staff were friendly.  She was very accommodating and it was very clean.  The beds were very comfortable and also the breakfast in the morning was home cooked and delicious.  I would stay there again for sure.
