It’s 1 am , a blizzard, room booked by a friend because I was in the air. The check in was eventful. A completely intoxicated male sprung out the when I arrived. Assuming I was a Uber. I explained to him I was checking in and had no intention of driving him anywhere. 
A female arrived to check me in and send me off to my room. I mentioned late check out seeing it was early in the am by the time I found the hotel and finished paperwork. 2+/- Got room settled in closer to 3 am. Next thing I know 9:30am a loud bag on the door. Ok my body still living on mountain time. I answered door to no one. Anyway asked for a discount on check out and got charged regular. Looking on line room was advertised at 20.00 cheaper. Which is what it was booked for.🤨

Storm stayed at 2am.

Review of restaurant only:  Did not stay at Inn.  We stopped for breakfast and the main DR was very nice, overlooking the water.  But most of the tables were reserved for a busload of tourists coming in.  We got ushered into the bar, nice room but dark, no view and everyone crammed in. My husband's pancakes were overcooked and so crusty he had to use a knife.  My scrambled eggs were not scrambled at all, but hard in the shape of a pancake, overcooked.  I would call it sort of an omelette but not fluffy.  The servers were very nice and hard working, so   the service was very good.  The motel itself is very rundown looking from the outside, but we only used the restaurant.

Restaurant very disappointing

Dirty, decayed and insects in the bathroom... no flies there I took care to leave one on the bathroom edge, maybe they'll take note of it!!!! I guess we were taken ill when we made this reservation we showered with socks and slept all dressed the only advantage we managed to find was having a lunch restaurant right across the street

I need a LOT of love!

This was a major disappointment. We needed to book in a rush which was our mistake. 
It was not worth the 160 we paid to stay the night. The room smelt like stale men's cologne and was seriously outdated.

Overpriced

We also went to the property across the road and then were redirected back to the office. We were told that there were only three rooms left even though the parking lot looked fairly empty - and did the next morning as well. We splurged and got the honeymoon suite as the jacuzzi tub and location to the pool seems most appealing to us. The room was very dark - there was very little in the way of lamps or light fixtures. There seemed to be damage to the fireplace mantle and the hook on the back of the door in the bathroom came off in my hand when I went to hang a towel on it. The pool was nice after a hot day on the road. Difficulties with the tv in the sitting area were challenging. Overall, not too bad an experience but I did feel the price was too high for this particular motel. Breakfast was very reasonable and the waitress was very friendly. But we did have to cross the road to get to the restaurant and it is a busy highway.

A little overpriced????

Definitely not worth the $168 that we paid for this room.  Outside veranda was scruffy, although the room itself was clean and tidy.  Quite a lot of road noise from the highway and we had a disturbed night due to noisy neighbours going into the room at 1.30am!.  Check in was a bit confusing as it was on the opposite side of the highway in the Hearthstone Inn.

Disappointed

We booked the 'suite', which is the room that is shown in the photos.  This room is newer then the others, and is attached to the indoor pool.  That doesn't mean that its in better shape, but I will get to that in a moment.

We arrived that the motel to see the office was closed and we were redirected to across the highway to checkin.  In doing so,  we were told that only ice machine and restaurant was at this hotel, and the pool and laundry were at our hotel.  So one is to cross the highway to use facilities...  That's safe and convenient- NOT!.

After a 15 min checkin process that included the lady finding our reservation for the other hotel, and correctingwhich room she was going to give us, we drove back across and found our 'suite'.  Although the room's features are nice to see,  the cleanliness of the room and area was awful. Coffee stains on the furniture,  floor and furniture was dusty, like no one had stayed in this room for months.  The door sill was rotten and loose, there was light fixtures that did not work, the interior doors did not fit the frames, so they were always having to be left open.  The wood trim bathroom were rotted.  The 'heated' bathroom tiles do not work and an old floor heater had been added to accommodate.    the decor of this room was nice, and having a nice bath was relaxing, but that was it.   It may sound like i liked to complain, but if this is what the 'suite' was like, I can only imagine what the regular rooms were like that were older than this. 

Oh, and the pool was not heated.  We understand from other reviews that it has been broken and hasn't been fixed for quite some time.  

Internet is VERY slow.

Aged and needs renos -

The hotel looks deserted at first sight.  There was a sign on the office door asking guests to check in at the Hearthstone Inn across the street.  The room is filthy with mouse at the door step, coffee-maker has unknown brown grits in it, very dirty towels with soiled spots visible, hair everywhere... This booking seriously jeopardized our trust with hotels listed on Hotwire.com.  Doesn't Hotwire screen the hotels listed on their website?  The name is such a joke.  It is definitely the worst place we ever stayed including motels.  The listing of this hotel on Hotwire states free breakfast.  When inquired about this at check-in and the restaurant in Hearthstone Inn, we were greeted with very nasty attitudes.

Worst motel ever

We paid an extra fee for a room with a sofa, but there was no such room on the premises and no refund possible. We had to change rooms to have access to a WiFi that, on occasion, worked. The registered breakfast is finally not available... after a request we were offered to take it to the nearby hotel. After our stay we contacted the hotel chain's customer service but still there is nothing to do, we feel that our requests are not taken seriously.

What a terrible experience!

They don't know what they know. No service. No dejeuner the next day. We had to claim the shower, the coffee table, no reduction.
