Scott and Nina are great hosts!! Lovely, helpful and listening. They gave us the room with ocean views, we could check out the whales and orcas that could have walked there. Breakfast was well served and very good. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bed was clean and pleasant. The room had a balcony and a refrigerator. The only negative would be the doorways that proliferate in the bathroom.

Tip: Go to the Information Centre for maps and suggestions for what to do on the island

R+R at Alert Bay B+B

The hosts and the place were completely welcoming, cozy and charming. Pablo and Paula made sure they attended to all the details to make sure my stay was top notch. They went out of their way to provide information that I needed for my business stay. The  room was spotless and well appointed. The menu choices which was delicious and ample. I will definitely be coming back to stay with them at Alert Bay Lodge. Thank you Paula and Pablo. 

Lovely 2 night stay on Alert Bay Island Lodge.

We had booked a little bit by chance at Alert Bay without knowing that you had to take the ferry to get there so that adds up to an unplanned expense the little dej served was any kind; it's nice, comfortable but not luxurious the reception is friendly, the couple that runs this lodge is Italian and you'll be prepared for dinner if you order it the day before, without that when we go we had two nights without powers to order damage the host is friendly but pretty special anyway

A special place

Paula and Pablo were fantastic hosts. Very organized, genuine, and caring with excellent culinary and restaurant service skills. Truly lovely people. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The island itself was very charming and the people were friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful hosts

We spent 2 days in the Alert Bay Lodge. Pablo and Paula were fantastic hosts! Very kind people with inspiring stories ! I would definitely go back. The eggs benny were also on point!  The room was clean , the views are great , and it was very quiet and peaceful.

Great food! Great people!

Love our two night stay at the Alert Bay Lodge, we stayed in room number 4 it had a patio attached to the room.  The log cabin feel is great, staying in this converted church.
The host Paula and Pablo, were very helpful and catered to all of our needs Breakfast was included and we booked one night dinner with them as well.  One in our party is Gluten free and also Vegetarian but they catered to all our dietary restriction.  They also store some salmon in their freezer for use that we got during our travels 
We would definitely stay here again with the Lodge and Paula and Pablo there.

Rustic Awesome lodge

This is a charming lodge with a lovely view from the great room across the Johnstone Straight to Vancouver Island.  Our room was spotless, with its own bathroom and fridge.  Scott and Nina were charming hosts, and very helpful with travel, tour and eating tips.  The breakfasts were wonderful and made to order.  We enjoyed sitting on the wraparound deck outside and in the great room with the fire going for coffee and drinks.  The lodge is close to main town.  We were able to keep busy for almost a week seeing Cormorant Island and the surrounding area.  We were there in September, which is just when things were starting to quiet down.  The people on the island are friendly, and there are a number of amenities.  We brought a stash of food for lunches and snacking at Nina's recommendation.  We recommend the lodge for a nice getaway in a very interesting corner of the west coast!

A beautfful waterfront lodge off north Vancouver Island.

Very cozy place with incredible hospitality from Nina. The common room and front deck were beautiful with as many books and games as you can imagine. Breakfast choices were perfect and always delicious. Thank you for having us.

The rooms were spotless , 
Comfy and cozy. We appreciated having a fridge in the room as well. 
The lodge has a great room that is very welcoming and huge. The breakfast area is spacious as well.
The hosts , Scott and Nina were very welcoming, comfortable and very helpful when us came to local activities . 
Breakfast is made to order and wonderful, especially Nina’s jam!

A beautiful Lodge in a wonderful west coast village . Enjoy coffee overlooking the ocean on the deck and see eagles.
