The motel is at the entrance of the city and close to the 99 road. The building and the room are not well-taken care. at the ground floor there is a nice restaurant. most of the people don't speak English.

I have stayed at this motel on several occasions when ever I come to Port Alberni to visit Family. The rooms are always clean and the staff are very friendly. 
The main reason for this post is that during this trip it took me awhile to get across the US/Canada border. We ended up catching the second to the last BC Ferry sailing out of Tsawassan. This was going to put us into Pot Alberni around midnight. I called the motel and explained the circumstances. The manager made arrangements for me to gain access to my room after the staff had gone home and  just told me to check in with the office the next day. I was very impressed and appreciative for the owner to be so trusting and to go above and beyond to accommodate someone that was just making his annual visit.  The manager is a credit to his profession in a world that seems to forget the humanity at times. 

Above and Beyond

There was garbage in the dresser drawers and a lovely bloody sheet under the bed. Tried to address it at check out as it was late when we arrived and it was ignored. So gross. Emailed after departure about disappointment and I was again ignored, not even an apology for the state of the room. The room itself looked okay. However the bloody sheet under the bed was a throw off.

Gross.

Not a good place at all. I understand that you get what you pay for and we weren’t expecting the Ritz but wow. Although cheap it was not good. Daily room service didn’t make our beds or take away our wet towels. That’s ok really but the floor was so dirty we had to wear flip flops or get black feet. We ran out of toilet paper and had to leave a note to get more dice the office is closed when we leave and return. Can’t use the fridge and microwave at the same time. Will pop a breaker. In general the place was run down. For the price we would accept run down but functional and toilet paper is a must. 

Home base for local touring

Me and family visited this motel for our stay over thanks giving long weekend and had a terriable experience. The worst part was finding a used needle in our bathroom, really disturbing for me and my wife as we have newborn along with us. Along with that we even had half full shampoo and conditioner bottles. Beds were really hard and uncomfortable, definitely needs reservations. We even had our phone going off for a pizza place until I unplugged the phone.

Wasn't a good time their and had to share for future people staying here.

Found used needle in bathroom!

Situated just outside of town it is very easy to find. It is a clean hotel and has a Japanese restaurant on site. All of the staff were very friendly and easy to work with.  It is a dated hotel and shows that. The patio door opens out to a nice little patio with chairs to enjoy a drink outside and enjoy the scenery and weather, The only real quirk in our room the bathroom taps did not have a stop on the shutoff so you just had to turn until you found the spot where the water stopped. Wifi was free and had a strong signal.

Budget Hotel

Clean room, quiet, easy access and, best of all, tasty Sushi restaurant right on the premises. Hospitality is superb. Am I in the U.S.A.?

I need a one night stopover en route to a place called Tofino. This one sure delivered and the Sushi was better than the fancy restaurant in Tofino.
