This hotel is basic, but definitely not bad.  It is in a great location and we had a lovely view of the lake from our room, which we really liked.  The check-in staff were friendly and the room were of a good size.   

The floors were quite sandy so you couldn't walk around in bare feet without them getting dirty.  But being so close to the lake, I think this would be difficult for them.

Nice location

We stayed one night on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. When we checked in, we were told to drive around the back of the building to get to our room. We entered our room from ground level and immediately saw the balcony and the view of the lake-wow. As we looked around the room, the pride of ownership shone throughout. Highly recommend this Inn.

Great Place. Great View

Great little gem! Owners are super friendly and very helpful all around made it the stay a great experience.
Our room was upstairs with the balcony.
Wonderful view, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great to have a fridge and microwave.

Perfect little Gem! Value for money with a view!

The owner is always welcoming and knowledgeable about local eateries and events.   Location is 10 minutes from downtown, the casino and the mall of stores. This owner renovated the rooms a few years back providing clean, well maintained, comfortable rooms.  The view of Lake Simcoe fromqA the windows, or sipping coffee in the early mornings out on the balcony, is awesome.  Price is budget friendly..  No breakfast, but Atherley Diner less that 5 minutes up the road is excellent.

No Better in Town

This is my 4th or 5th time here .. always met with a friendly smile by the couple who own the property..    Location is perfect.   View is gorgeous,, sunset beautiful...   with the balcony and a great view,, it's easy to just enjoy the views of ducks, geese, merganders, and swans swimming.  Boats cruising by in front of you at the tip of Lake Simcoe .   TRULY , a perfect little getaway from the city spot ...   highly recommend .

A HIDDEN GEM 

We have stayed here twice in the time of Covid. We had a second floor room both times, which I highly recommend. The balconies are fabulous, overlooking the beautiful lake--it's too bad there aren't screen doors so that the balcony door could be left open, but not a deal killer. 

The rooms are VERY clean. Yes, there are some DIY repairs, like duct tape on the floor lol but the beds are super comfy, the rooms quiet, and as I mentioned before, very clean. Rooms come equipped with a small dining table and two chairs, a microwave, coffeemaker and coffee (very good, too, Mother Parker's)

If you're staying for a bit, or traveling with kids, there is a beach right across the road, and there is a barbecue and fire pit at the back of the motel--wood is sold in the motel office. It's like a country retreat in a subdivision!

Staff is very welcoming and pleasant, as well.

A nice find!

This place was absolutely disgusting. It genuinely made me sick. The rooms are NOTHING like the photos and are full of DIY repairs. From bugs to actual holes in the walls, this place was akin to a literal crackhouse. We would not have stayed there once we saw the place if a single other room in Orillia had been available. The owner was friendly, but we could never find him. And when we asked for towels or clean sheets, it was the bare minimum and we’d always have to go back and ask for something else (ie clean sheets but no pillow cases). We also had to change our own sheets, and we HAD to because ours were clearly not changed from the last guest. Absolutely vile. Every single surface in our room and bathroom was grimey and the floor did not even look swept.

You get what you pay for…

An exceptional property. Small, so clean, huge rooms, vinyl flooring, mini-fridge and coffee maker, power bars (!). Exceptional service by the owners - kind people who really care about the whole motel and the people that stay there. Amazing view of the lake from every room, free parking, wi-fi, air conditioning...really, what more could you want? Won't stay anywhere else when I'm in the area ever again.

An absolute gem of a motel

The room was very cute and especially clean, and the towels and sheets smelled fresh. The king bed was comfortable. The office features some local artisan products that are worth taking the time to consider.  Staff is remarkably friendly.

So Clean!

Nothing fancy here, but the view of Lake Simcoe and the sunsets are wonderful.  The room is clean, mattresses comfortable, has a good t.v. with enough channels.  There's a fridge, microwave and coffee pot in the room.  Most people bring food for snacks and breakfast and either go to restaurants for dinner or order delivery through Skip the Dishes.  There is a road between the motel and the lake, but it's not heavily trafficked.  Everyone brought chairs and sat by the lake.  Some people even went swimming there.  The owners are a young couple, very friendly and helpful.  We liked it and will return next summer.  Orilla seems to have a good handle on dealing with Covid-19.  This motel cleans the rooms with a product that includes bleach (they showed it to me!).  Restaurants have outdoor patios or drive thru and seem meticulous about wearing masks, keeping social distance and disinfecting tables, chairs and cutlery.
