Okimot Lodge on Tomiko Lake

Went with a couple mom friends and our 3/4 year olds and we have decided to make this place/trip an annual thing! This place was cozy and very clean, the owners were so sweet and it was obvious they cared about their costumers and property. The Beach was absolutely amazing the sand was clean and natural , the water was clear and the perfect temperature for swimming. There was a douck that was also a free for all that we fished off with our kids and one little one even caught a small bass! We had our own area of the beach ,own fire pit and picnic table. It was absolutely everything we wanted ! I would and will recommend it to everyone !

Piece of paradise

Spent a week at Okimot on my own. Great place for fishing. Beautiful nature, places to go and see. Hosts are more than helpful. Great people. The best place I have been in past 15 years. For me, just right. Away from the busy cities, great for solitude and for families. Looking forward going back at first opportunity.

Great place, great hosts

My friend and I decided to spend three days in Okimot. We love nature and calm and that's what we found in this little paradise in the north. The cottages are very clean and well equipped. Thomas and Marijke, the girls, are very welcoming and friendly. We spent three days of peace, rest in a unique setting. Thank you, we are back.

An Unforgettable Stop

Great cottages at Okimot Lodge. Lake is freezing up now and plenty of snow to keep our dog occupied. Will come back for ice fishing for sure.Tom and Marijke are great hosts. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Amazing two weeks at Okimot!

Stopped here for 2 days on my way home because it was near my granddaughter and decided to add an impromptu little stay with her, it was only a couple of days before the labor day weekend so everything I tried in the nearby towns was already booked, not a place I would have normally chosen as fishing or hunting wasn't on my list but what a pleasant surprise ! The cabin was spotless ! The stove looked like it had just been delivered from the factory it was so clean. Tom and Marijke went out of their way to make sure we had a fabulous stay. They day we were to leave and drop my granddaughter off her mother had been called into work and we were going to have her for an additional 8 hours after check out time, the weather was awful and her being under 2 she still takes naps, I approached Marijke about my situation and she didn't even let me finish explaining and insisted we stay and keep her dry and comfortable. There was no extra charge or no feeling like we were imposing or putting them out in any way. My grandaughter loved playing in the screened in porch and it was so pleasant to sit in there with her and stare out at the lake. It is a place I never would have found under normal circumstances but I am feeling so blessed that I happened upon it. Whether you are just looking for a place to unplug or are an avid fisherman or hunter, look no further, you won't do better than this !

Amazing Stay

As an avid fisherman, I seek out places like Okimot lodge. The fishing, scenery and camaraderie are top notch.

Tom and Marijke are fabulous hosts and wonderful people! The food is excellent, accommodations are clean, boat launch is handy. 

Not far from Sturgeon falls if the need arises to go to "town".

Great place, Great people!!!

Okimot Lodge gave us a simple, rustic accommodation option (primarily intended for hunters and anglers) we used it for our great 'get away from it all' location i.e. little to no cell phone or wifi access, Most cabins front right onto the lake. Boat ramp at $5.00 in/$5.00 out, gas for sale + snacks, meals with accommodation by prior arrangement or cook your own.
