Our hostess, Patsy, was friendly, helpful and very energetic.  Her breakfasts were great and there was lots of variety.

Our room, The Priest’s Room, was OK but was a little frayed round the edges.  It was good that it had its own bathroom, but be aware that it leads off the residents’ lounge and the noise from late owls and early birds could be obtrusive.

Patsy told us that the business has recently changed hands and that there are plans for repairs and renovations.  We felt that these are definitely needed.  The house itself is lovely and clearly has lots of potential.  We wish Patsy and the new owner lots of luck with the updating.  The Presbytery has the potential to be something very special.

Great house but getting a little tired.

I have stayed at a few good bed and breakfasts in my travels but Gite le Presbytere is above and beyond any bed and breakfast that I have stayed at.  The building itself is stunning and very clean and well kept.  I think the place itself has 5 guest rooms and we were in a room called "The Priest's Room".  

   The staff at the place, Patsy and Michel, are very knowledgeable about the area and pointed us to some of the best touristy things to do around Percé including a whale watching cruise and a visit to a museum that is set up to look like a general store from 100 years ago.  This place is really something to see!

   I could go on and on about their breakfasts.  This place is a "bed and breakfast" and their breakfasts are awesome.  So awesome, we skipped lunch for the 5 days that we were there.

  If I had to say something negative about the place, nothing really, except I could not sit in their Adirondack chairs for more than 15 minutes. That said, aren't all Adirondack chairs uncomfortable?

   Thank you Gite Le Presbytere!  I will be back next summer!!!

Awesome Bed and Breakfast

Gite is located in an old presbytery dating back several years. The gite is located in a very quiet neighborhood in the evening compared to all the activity on the main street in Gaspé. We are about 5 minutes' walk from all the action. Everything is done on foot in Percé from this place. It makes it a perfect place to rest after a long day. Our family had rented the blue room as well as the mini-suite. The blue room has 2 beds and the same thing for the mini-suite. Unlike the mini-suite has a multi-bedroom that separates the 2 beds. Which makes it a 2 small rooms to be more private. And the mini-suite counts 2 small lavatories.

It's a quiet place and a great lunch.

Big disappointment about our booking for 4 people for several months! Without shouting at the station, my elderly parents were called to warn them that our room was no longer available! That there had been a problem with Booking.com... I understand that there can sometimes be problems when dealing with a third party, but what I don't understand is that no compensation has been offered! Only the transfer to another establishment! I find it aberrant, especially when I think of my mother who travels very rarely and who was a joy to leave with the free spirit.

Old mansion located next to the cemetery and the church. Well situated but somewhat summarised. Original breakfast with lots of fruit and around a large common table. Not always obvious to open the doors of the rooms, window a little old and not easy to open when you want a little air and very average bedding but the concept is original.

Character house in the heart of the village of Percé

This is like staying with your grandmother(in a positive way). A very sweet room "the maid's room" next to a back stair decent to the kitchen. Even though there was a shared bathroom, we were is a small hallway with two bath and no other rooms. Michelle served a wonderful breakfast. He had four different jellies/jams that he had made himself. A great variety of other offerings. At breakfast you are at a large dining table with all the other guest.; a great way to discuss activities of the day. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Perce

It's a lovely, charming, very quiet and beautifully decorated home, a very pleasant living room and dining room, a very friendly and attentive host, delicious homemade lunches, a variety of sweet salts, everything is fine, thank you.

Nice home

We stayed in the night of 13 to 14/09 4 friends and 2 bedrooms including one downstairs with private bathroom and the other with shared bathroom. The building is a beautiful warm old lady, well maintained that offers plenty of resting places. The weather seems to have stopped and we felt good right away. Thank you very much to Michel for his hospitality, kindness and all the energy he put into receiving his guests!! For this is how we felt, invited by our host Michel. His good advice has earned us very interesting time and addresses.

What a joy

We stayed one night as a family in this house, very well located in a small downtown neighborhood, so everything can be done on foot from there. It's a very nice house with typical rooms, everything was clean, the staff is really nice and hospitable. Room with double bed, faucet, cupboard. Bathroom and toilet to share with other people but this is not at all a problem because there are 2 bathrooms. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Perce I highly recommend it.

That's perfect.

Excellent location, a charming old house, and a sumptuous breakfast make this one of the best lodgings in Perce. We shared a two room suite with several common bathrooms down the hall, so we never had to wait. Perfect.
