We were warmly received, the cabin was comfortable and spacious, and kayaking on the lake was super pleasant, especially at sunset.

A very good experience

Please note that the photos do not represent the location of the cottage at all. The cottage is not on the waterfront, but rather on the edge of a huge parking lot. The cottage is not insulated from the sound inside, so it is not ideal when there is more than one family staying at the cottage.

False representation

We were looking for a cabin by the lake for a last-minute end-of-summer vacation. The large condo in the main building at Gite du Lac Taureau was the only place that was still available. 
The place is really spatious and was a comfortable accommodation for our huge family with 5 boys. Big rooms, large beds, three (!) bathrooms, plenty of space. The terrace is also very large and nice, and we enjoyed BBQs in the evening. The building is not right next to the water, but close enough, and the kids were happy to spend the days playing in the water by the dock.
The furnishings and amenities inside are quite basic. The owner explained that the bedding was not supplied because of COVID, which didn't make a lot of sense to me, but well. Turns out, the blankets weren't provided either, so we were happy we had our sleeping bags with us. No soap or shower gel in the bathrooms either (perhaps due to COVID too?). The kitchen was stocked with everything necessary, but the microwave wasn't working and the toaster kept burning the bread setting off the alarm over and over. The lighting in the living room is very dim for such a large space, and it gets quite dark in the evening.
All the above was only minor inconvenience and didn't prevent us from having a good time. The biggest downside was an overcontrolling owner/manager. You can tell by the language she uses in her house rules: everything is presented with a threat of a punishment, which doesn't make you feel welcome. The sign above the kitchen sink literally says "Thank you for washing the dishes PROPERLY (underscored), otherwise a cleaning fee will be charged." She was after our kids for skipping rocks on the lake and insisted that the rocks should be put back. At the end of our stay she tried to blame us for the ripped beach chairs, subsequently admitting (after we defended ourselves) that they were damaged before we arrived. We weren't surprised much when we received an email from her upon our return home claiming that we broke one of the bedroom doors. The email showed some pictures of a crack, which we never noticed before. We were with our kids all the time and are pretty confident that we would have known if they had broken the door, but since we don't have a habit of obsessively inspecting any room that we are renting for pre-eisting damage, we couldn't argue with her. We figured that 60$ she charged us for repairs weren't worth the stress.
Overall, the place is OK, but if you aren't booking last minute, like we did, you'll have better options for the same price and can avoid the frustration of having someone policing you all the time. We are definitely not coming back.

Large condo with an overcontrolling owner

The title says it all.the QC pityes in everything that attracts to nature like the delivery of water, water plan management etc etc. Damage because it's a very nice place.The number of dechet makes it seem like it's over-exploited

Too many boats, too much dirty meat

We stayed at the Taurus Lake Cottage in the two-room condo and we all enjoyed our stay very much. We return in August to spend a full week there. A super warm accommodation and very quick and courteous service. We had access to our condo very quickly and the instructions were very simple to follow and follow. Nothing prevented us from enjoying our stay. The two-room condo is on two easy people. The first one we find the entrance and a very large closet where you can store all the outdoor furniture. On the second floor we have a large lounge that includes a dining room and a movie theater. There are also large windows on this lounge that we have a lot of access to. Really very restful

Rented condo 2 bedrooms, very affordable: uncomfortable beds, oven not working, broken chair. When we arrived and during the stay, the owner was so cold in the welcome room!!! In addition, it was closed when we arrived! We always seemed to bother him, especially for the parking of the condo, which was constantly barred; we always had to run after the owner to open the door for us. And finally, we had an incident and broke a carpet walk, which we wanted to repair our expenses well. The owner charged us $425.00 on our credit card without stealing our consent!!!!! A real price!!!! So if you could live there, don't worry about anything, it would cost you a lot of money to break your vacation and obviously consider it...

Welcome THREE THREE cold despite the beauty of the place, taken hostage in the parking lot!

Condo ok but no more with uncomfortable beds but above all barrier at the entrance of the site blocked at all times. to get out of it you have to find the owner who is not the most friendly or leave your vehicle outside. cold welcome when we arrived and throughout the stay we felt disturbed. we are far from the warm welcome standards.

Three-bedroom condo. Multiple beds, very comfortable. Everything was perfect. Beautiful decoration, exemplary cleanliness. Can accommodate twelve people. Beautiful kitchen large table. Beautiful patio. Really ideal. Congratulations to the propio for the cleanliness of the condo and surroundings.

Condo

It was a great stay. Even though there was no snow, Xavier made us a buggy ride to replace the snowmobile. He showed us a great ride. He was very available and kind. The cottage is large, well equipped. The view of the lake in the morning when you wake up is great. If you're looking for peace you're in the right place. The wifi wasn't going great but it's just a detail. These five days were super graceful to him, so thank you very much.
