Comfortable room, in its juice of the time. Bathroom & WC common but clean..private parking. Very nice reception and good breakfast made at home. Very well located.

I'm good.

Very kind and sympathetic owners manage this trip which is a real jewel: common areas and well-groomed rooms well furnished and taken care of in every detail, from porcelain to curtains, to very soft sheets. Really delicious and abundant breakfast. Very comfortable private parking. Room on the street a little noisy if you sleep with the window open (but the owners had warned of the inconvenience).

Very friendly reception from the owners. They give good advice on activities. Very well equipped and very comfortable room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bunk bed. Cleanliness of the place. Excellent breakfast prepared by Dany, varies from day to day. No TV in the room but good quality internet connection.

Well-restored old house overlooking the river and the St. Lawrence

I arrived and had booked the wrong day and the owner rectified this without charge . The owner was helpful recommending a restaurant close by . Room is beautiful facing the ocean . The breakfast outstanding - I highly recommend this place.

Great owners provide wonderful stay.

We spent one night here en route to Percé. The hosts were the sweetest people and so helpful. Love the fact that the house is so old and has so much history.  We had a great time here. Breakfast was fantastic!

Lovely place

We stayed here for a night driving from Percé on our way back to NB. The house dates from the 1830’s and although the bathroom and much of the main floor have been modernized, the bedrooms could be like they were a hundred years ago( minus the fridge). The rooms are simple but comfortable. They all have an old fashioned charm. Giselle is very friendly and is perfectly bilingual. She is also a great cook. For breakfast she made fresh banana loaf and poppyseed muffins as well as a crepe filled with Brie and home made apple sauce. Delicious. She also served us an anti- oxidant tea made out of mushrooms growing on birch trees. Giselle has a binder which explains the difference between a gite and a B&B in Quebec. A gîte is what we understand to be a B&B, breakfast is provided and you stay in someone’s home. Whereas a B&B can be more like a small independently run motel where breakfast is not always provided. I noticed this when booking rooms at B&b’s and saw breakfast was not provided. Anyway Giselle’s was great. The house is located in Cap Chat immediately after so pass the river if you are heading west. There are three houses just by the bridge and the vite is in the middle. Giselle recommended the Valmont restaurant on the other side of the restaurant which was excellent. If it is a nice day there is a river side park across the street. Upon leaving we were also give a book. Thank you for your hospitality Giselle.

Our very short stay at Gisèle and Dany's home gave us the urge to return to enjoy their hospitality, the charm of their two-century-old home and the attractions of the Gaspésie National Park.

The desire to return

If you want to save money and you don't need luxury, you can come back here, the rooms are small and cheap, and five rooms have to share two bathrooms, but the owners are kind and they're trying to make their guests feel better, and 100 meters away, in Valmont, you can eat well.

Cheap and good

A very nice place along the river,the hosts are very nice and give good advice, breakfast was excellent.As for the room, it is an old building, the insulation is not necessarily the best but it is still convenient.

It's a very good ride.

I stayed two nights with my family at the hotel, and we were impressed by the warm atmosphere and kindness of the two owners, the rooms are very tastefully furnished and the setting is very relaxing, and the breakfast was excellent with a different starter dish for the two days.
