We have driven past this restaurant for years and finally stopped after hearing someone ‘s recommendation.  It is a small place attached to an old style motel but it was nice inside & very, very clean.  It was early afternoon and we had our choice between American breakfast or Chinese lunch. It was a large menu & we chose stir fry beef & stir fry chicken. They both were tasty.  We will return or maybe order delivery. Reasonable prices.

I had booked online from Booking.com, the next day we decided we didn’t need a motel would just stay in tents. As I called to cancel the owner was very rude, he tried to tell me to talk to Booking.com which kept giving me his number. He told me he was going to hang up on me because he was busy and then called me 15 minutes later and I let him know I was just figuring thing out and would call him right back. He called me 3 more times! And also charged me half of the price of my stay to cancel. (And I cancelled 3 weeks early, also cancelled the day after I booked it..must really need the money.) Very disappointed wth how I was treated and the lack of professionalism.

this is a good budget motel. do not expect modern or fancy. it was clean, but outdated and economical. A wonderfully nice and very friendly and accomodating owner who does most of the work herself. Don't expect fancy, expect simple affordable comfort, we stayed 2 and would stay again.  This young woman works hard to support her kids in this little roadside motel and restaurant. the food in amazing!!! good cheap breakfast and fabulous chinese and thai the rest of the day!

simple, clean, plain, retro budget motel.

We wanted to go to this region around the Thanksgiving wekeend, so we picked this hotel as pretty much everything else around the muskoka/algonquin region was booked or ridiculously priced. The price for this hotel was fairly reasonable in comparison and it offers a good central location if you plan to visit a few different cities over the weekend (Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Orillia, etc)

We have no complaints about the way the hotel staff did their job, but the rooms are definitely screaming for an upgrade or at least some deep cleaning. There were many places you could see dust, or just downright dirtiness. On our first night we decided to discard one of the bed covers because it just had an odd inconsistent grayish color throughout. Chair fabric seemed dirty as well, and overall the whole place could do with a bit more detailed cleaning. 

There's a restaurant as part of the hotel, and as far as the restaurant is concerned we really had no complaints. Had a breakfast and a dinner there during our stay, and the food seemed fresh and tasty. The wifi was pretty decent, we were able to watch streaming video without problems, but there were some problems with the remote control (couldn't channel surf using arrows, had to enter buttons)

Overall, a fairly forgettable experience, but if you don't plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel itself and only need a place to stay overnight for a reasonable price, this place will probably do the job.

OK to stop for a day or two if there's no alternatives

Too many bad things:
- no hot water after waiting 7 minutes(!) with running water!Answer was we have a long hose, so it takes time (though it still did not work) 
- they did not find my reservation, though motel looks empty
- in the room closet there was a spare TV
- TV did not work. Then stuff member did something behind, but the remote control did not work, so he told me not to use remote control. Also picture quality was bad
- they offer to refund me with 50% of my payment; may be this is how they make money of the hotel! had to shout and threaten them for a full refund
