I’ve stayed at Bishop’s before and I thought I’d give U Sherbrooke a try this time. I would never stay at U Sherbrooke again. I stayed in a single-occupant room.  The exterior wall is painted cinder-block.   The « mattress » is a vinyl-covered slab of foam. There is a fan because there’s no AC, but unfortunately the fan needed to be plugged into the single, ONLY wall outlet. Absolutely every sound in the hallway is amplified inside the room. There was an unused box of men’s waxing strips in the desk drawer (seriously!). The lighting is very dim. There is a communal kitchen in the next building over, but unless you brought dishes & cutlery, you’re outta luck. There are 3 washrooms with showers on my floor, but I have not tried the shower yet. 

The only significant plus is that there’s an apartment-sized fridge (not a mini-fridge). 

I would not stay here again when there are clean, modern, well-equipped rooms for about the same price in Lennoxville.

Bishop’s is better for a comparable price

Good reception, room ok, small ventilator provided, no air conditioning. If you go during the very hot summer. small cafeteria can make a meal. contributed your boilers. The bed is hard. Little trouble finding the entrance from block 12.

It's a good place to stay to go see a show.

The residence is just as Sparkyont describes it.  Plastic mattresses, concrete walls, basic accommodation.  It was all fine except for the difficulty in sleeping. The guest in the room next door was up very late watching a movie or television with the sound on his device loud enough to keep me awake.  A group left early the next morning and started showering and moving about at 5:30.  Every time a door shut (bedroom, bathroom, outside door) it could be heard in my room.  Also, the hall lights were on all night and the light came through the cracks in the door.  So, I slept very little, probably from 1 a.m. until 5:30 a.m.  

The residence provides tokens for a Kuerig coffee maker in the common room.  Lovely gesture until I saw the machine crawling with ants.

Not much sleep!

The rooms and common areas were very clean, and my husband and I enjoyed the quietness of the place, the room was very comfortable, but the reception desk was open for a short time, and there was a lack of information on the website.

Good price, good deal

This university is fantastic, I think it's the best in all of Quebec! Listening to its staff and students, it has everything to impress you.

A renowned university

We were delighted with the Sherbrooke University residences. We had a new room with two simple beds. The bedding was good quality, soap and towels included. There is no air conditioning, but a fan does the job. The room has a big fridge and you'll find on the ground floor a bathroom, toilet and kitchen equipped (oven, microwave, bread grill, boiler, etc.). Bring your dishes and a boiler and save on the food too.

Good deal to live cheaply

We're used to booking in several university residences during our summer trips, and we did the same thing when we were in Sherbrooke. The price of the rooms allows you to spend more in a restaurant... You have to know that it's extremely difficult to find yourself in the streets of the university campus with the one-way and everything else. It's really unpleasant sometimes, especially at night. We give you a card but it's not obvious to find you there. You can't have the rooms before 4:00 because the prefect just wants to spend more at this time so don't get your chance like us. However, when you get there, everything is fast and you get the wrapper with your key, the bill and the arrival plate. So we don't have the key in the window, but we're giving you the key in the bathroom, but we're giving you a hard time to get some air, and we're giving you a hard time to get some air, but we've got to get some sort of room, and we've got to get some sort of room, and we've got to get some sort of room

Nothing to be ashamed of for a room for two at $61.

It was clean, but very very basic. Two beds one single & 1 cot, both with plastic matrices,  sheets, pillows & towel provided,  a fridge, desk & a wardrobe,  no mirrors, the shared washroom down the hall doors lock & can only be opened with key, no outlet for blow dryer or shaver in bathroom. Shower was good but no cold water, so we just let it dribble with hot water quickly. No air but there was a fan. Very confusing directions to find the check-in office. We kept asking people on campus, but nobody seemed to know, & there weren't any signs. Nice view from our window, probably beautiful in the fall
. Second floor rooms only & no elevator.  It is not sound proof, we could hear the people in the next rooms conversation.0, & down the hall cough.
