Nothing like described in the website. The motel is run down, old and unkept. Our room was filthy. There was “snot” on the walls. The floors and beds were disgusting. We didn’t feel safe to shower due to the mold.

We stayed there by recommendation of a family member. I realize they are under new management, times are tough right now but a lot has to be said about cleanliness. The floors were dirty behind the coffee table dead bugs, webs and spiders. The kitchenette, had a smelly old built in fridge that was no longer in service but they had put another one beside it, left over crackers from someone else. The bathroom between the grout was black the bathroom floor was not clean again with dead bugs and black. The television did not work, nor did the kitchenette light or main overhead light. The toaster looked at though it wasn’t cleaned either so I did myself. 

The beds, we not very comfortable and the pillows were not very good some members and in my family went and bought ones to make it better for a sleep.

It does appear that new flooring in the main area, And new sink in the bathroom so they are making some changes. 

The location is great though and the ability to sit outside and socialize was great.  I paid 240 ish for two nights. 

I will unlikely return to this place for a family trip.

Nice Location, Nice Management.... still disappointed

In case anyone is interested, we stayed in room #12...if there had been anyplace else available (even under a bridge) we would have left. We were overcharged, which my visa company is looking after. There was a broken window....no screens in any windows...the air unit didn't work, even the TV didn't work. Behind the bathroom sink was filty with someone's plastic wine glass left there amid the dirt.The stove was also disgustingly dirty. I've been in touch with the Cornwall Health Deptartment in hopes they can shut the place down.Now since all we saw for reviews before we started  was decent, I'm pretty sure this isn't going to stay on their website....just beware!

Well,,, what can I say,,, after 8 hrs driving from Pei , day two with a new puppy,, Every pet friendly hotel/motel in the Cornwall area was booked.  All but one... Long Sault Motel.... the price was ok ( not great) but it was Saturday..  I didn’t have a great feeling from check-in ... can’t explain but I knew.. the room was very dirty!  The bathtub was unbelievable! I wouldn’t dream of stepping in it.. I closed the bathroom door and the cobwebs and dead bugs were disgusting! Obviously that room had not been cleaned in quite some time... I could go on and on.. plan ahead and don’t get stuck here!

Only if you have no choice!,

Ideal location within walking distance to restaurants and St. Lawrence.    Neat and clean rooms...well priced.   Close to Upper Canada Village and Long Sault and minutes drive to Cornwall.  Would stay there again.

Wonderful owners

Newly run by a very pleasant family, the Long Sault Motel has met our expectations for accommodation, washing and resting. This is what we were looking for. A meeting room with a host in the lobby is available for us to chat, have a drink and snack. We were loaned a hair dryer, we were able to dry very wet clothes in their dryer, my toilet was repaired immediately when I mentioned a small problem with the clan and we were distributed warm blankets in each room since the cold season makes us feel. We will not hide it, the motel needs a lot of time but this news is welcomed, motivated, listening to the customers and the management of the restaurants and restaurants and we can give them our best chance to come back and give them our love and patience for sure!

Great news!!

The Long Sault Motel in eastern Ontario is under new ownership and management.  But the even greater news is that the new owners are determined to bring the motel back to its five-star status.

Within days of assuming control of the motel, serious upgradings began.  And over the following few weeks the property has undergone noticeable improvements to the interior and exterior with still more promised.

The motel deserves the upgrading because of its ideal location along the St Lawrence River.  A fabulous bike/walking trail directly in front of the motel leads into the beautiful Long Sault Parkway.

It is a top lace if you want to see dirt, bad smell, rust in the fridge , no renovations ever 
I cant't put pictures because I'm afraid that  some people will puke.
It is a place incompatible whit decent human standards 
It is a very bad thing for Ontario . I'm sure that are other as bad as this one , but we got to find this trash . It is a insult to the human kind because lower rates does not mean such  lack of respect . Do not forget to admire if you get there  the Eagle. I'm referring to the tow nails of one of the ones behind the counter 
 An inspection for sure will ask for demolition on  the spot
