I booked a room through a third party website for a girls weekend away. Things changed and we had to cancel, which we did prior to the sites cancellation policy. 

The hotel still charged us for the stay. We tried multiple times to call and clear it up with the hotel, but they didn't answer, and their voicemail was full. After a couple of weeks of this, we passed it to our credit card company, who also tried to no avail. The credit card company eventually reimbursed the amount. 

Save yourself the hassle.

Charged for a cancelled stay

Tried to book a room for August. Site kept changing it to July 20th (the day I was trying to make the booking). After trying multiple times to change it, I finally sent the reservation through WITH a message stating their site kept changing the date, the proper date and how many people were coming. I also immediately phoned and left a detailed message on their super fun mechanical voicemail with the same information and a please return my call. No answer. No callback. I clicked on the "manage your booking" link in the email and it already says that I can't cancel my booking because it's too late (no cancelling in less than 24 hours and since it kept putting July 20th on the booking... !). And it even has the message I sent included ON the page!

I called again this morning. Same voicemail, same info and callback request. No answer. No callback.

Then I look on my Visa and, guess what? A charge pending for LAST NIGHT at the Squamish Budget Inn. I phoned again - this time PISSED. Same stupid voicemail, same info plus the issue of a pending charge and request for callback. NO ANSWER. NO CALLBACK.

If this is how you treat your customers, how are you even still in business? I am disgusted at this complete lack of business etiquette and inability to even return a simple phone call. $160 charge for trying to book online, really? Do yourself a favor: save your money and stay away from this inn. If they're willing to screw me over, they're will to screw you too.

Wish I could Make It -5 Stars

I've read the reviews after booking, which was a mistake. However, the reviews seem to be old and very bad so I assume it's a new owner now. Hotel seems to be in renovation, so it's strange it's even open. It makes a better impression than older reviews but it is still very dirty and smelly. And it's way TOO EXPENSIVE for what it is (133 canadian dollars for 2). You can get a room in a good hotel for that money... The staff was more or less friendly but they hardly speak English, which makes the communication very complicated. 
At least: good location, quiet and good wifi.

You survive a night here but I would definitely not stay here again and I recommend not to go here as long as they don't renovate this "Inn" completely and make something out of it.

Too expensive and shabby

We checked into the room to find that the wall in the shower was caving in due to mold, the toilet was leaking on the floor of the bathroom, and I found bedbugs in the bed.  I talked with the manager.  He refused to give me a refund.  He yelled and became aggressive.  If I could give no stars, I would have.  Do not waste your time or money on this hotel.

Bed Bugs

This was the only place we could find with a room available after a major accident on the S2S.

The room was adequate after travelling for 24 hours.

It needs a good clean.  There are no tea/coffee making facilities. There’s a lot of noise outside all night. 

Won’t be returning! 

Emergency Accommodation

The reservation didn't match what I booked for, but the price was unchanged. c's the handicapped room that was given to me either, when I walked into the room it smelled the sweating of the feet of the month if to the bathtub, no heating, the dubious carpet, no fridge, no shelf... impossible to sleep in this place, I took pictures and left saying that I wouldn't sleep there, he wanted me to pay for another night's room for cancellation i said no and went to look for another. this hotel is not worthy to be on a reservation site
