This is an older small motel on the side of the highway run by a super friendly couple.  The rooms are clean, cozy and have everything you could possibly need. All for a far better rate than fancier chain hotels.  Other reviews state it was noisy but no one in the family found it noisy. Chain hotels are far noisier with people walking down hallways and thumping on the floor above.  This location is definitely a hidden jewel and a real bargain.  I LOVE being able to support a small business!🙂

Incredible small town find!

The very friendly owners of this property have made some improvements since my last vist a year ago. We were given a newly renovated room with a new bathroom that was absolutely sparkiling clean! There is also a decent sized fridge which was a step up from mpst motel mini fridges. Great value for the price.

New and improved

Very good value within walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. Has a kitchen and plates, dishes, cutlery and a coffee machine. Parking is in close view of the rooms. Stayed there twice will continue staying there when in Sundre.

Great value, wonderful staff.

This was a very inexpensive stay and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was dated, but they have done a few cosmetic renos (flooring, baseboards and trim, bathroom and windows). The room was clean. It had a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot and toaster (all in working order). There were two bedrooms. The beds were comfy (a little soft for me) with nice bedding that smelled good. The air condition was a portable one and was a bit loud, but worked well. Overall, it was amazing for the price.  I would definitely recommend it. Just remember you are staying in an older motel and go in with the right attitude. The staff was lovely!

Totally worth the money

This motel was a pleasant surprise. The owners are super friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.  I was taken aback when shortly after checking in, the owner knocked on our door to check if the room was acceptable. The bed was super comfortable and the room had a decent sized fridge, microwave, a few dishes and a toaster!! We will definitely stay here again next visit to Sundre.

A little gem of a motel in Sundre

I would like to thank the owners/staff they are always smiling and willing to help anyway they can. I have never had a bad stay found this gem 4yrs ago. Stay couple times a year. Love the upgrades they are doing such as kitchettes! Bonus- right across from IGA. Always my stay over for travels along the Forestry Truck, or just for a get away. Clean, fresh and comfy beds! Even with being on the main road, the traffic doesn't bother us. If your a light sleeper and it's available as for a room on the back. Safe Travels

Awesome as always

I arrived in Sundre late in the night and this was my only option as I was travelling with a dog. I wasn't expecting much since the outside looks a little rough but once I got to my room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and looked like it was recently updated with some renovations. There was a little living room/sitting area and a small kitchenette which served my needs perfectly. The room was separated from the living space. It was big, had plenty of closet space and the bed was super comfortable. I honestly had the best sleep in this place during my week stay. The bathroom was a good size with a clean shower (good water pressure and enough sink and shelf space for toiletries). I also liked that the bathroom had a small window. There was another open closet space just outside the bathroom and plenty of hooks by the front door to hang all my work gear. Came in very handy. Parking was just outside the door so lugging all my stuff to and from my vehicle was easy. One thing I can say about my room was that it didn't smell old or musty. The air was very clean since my sinuses were not bothered at all during my stay (huge bonus). Probably due to no carpeting in the room. One thing to keep in mind is that each room does not have its own thermostat. Its all central air controlled from the main building. But even so, the room was the perfect temperature during my entire stay. No complaints. The motel location was very convenient. The grocery store was right across the street as well as the liquor store. Plenty of restaurants along the main road. There was also a nice walking path along the river about a minute from the motel. Perfect for walking the dog. The owners are very nice and helpful people. Check-in took less than a minute. Overall, I had an awesome stay here and would definitely book again. Don't let appearances fool you as you are passing by. Great value for the money.

Surprisingly great stay!

Stayed at this motel three times this summer. The owners are super cute and very wanting to help you have a nice stay. The rooms are really cozy, and larger than you would expect! I've stayed in one that had a second bedroom, plus full kitchen plus living-room. Always clean and tidy. Always warm. Lots of parking. The price is affordable and you will not be disappointed.
