Covid was tough on everyone. 

Notwithstanding, one cannot ignore the years of visible neglect in the basic operations and maintenance of a building such as Tank 77.  

Seemingly, selfish aging ownership rife with systematic ignorance “yes manned” by incompetent leadership of this Inns “bar” has led to a necrotic decline akin to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. 

Menus, liquor and food stock, decor and facilities ALL function and breathe decay. What is the thought process on this business model? 

I am embarrassed for those poor girls who have to apologize for flat beer, daily out of stock menu/liquor items and months of tvs that “don’t work”

Was there for 2 nights for a Show and Shine (car show). Room was HOT, and this is August! Was told AC was centralized, so couldn't change it. Was told she would find a fan, never came back. Kept window open all night, but didn't help. The tub's sealant is falling to pieces, tub looks grody. My bare feet were dirty after walking on the carpet, so who knows when they were last cleaned? My white socks the next day, same thing. Made tea the next morning, spilt some water, while cleaning up around microwave, found MOUSE POOP. (I live in the country and KNOW what that looks like!!). Told the front desk in person, and she would send someone to clean up. Made our beds ourselves, (no big deal) as due to Pandemic, they only clean rooms after clients have left for home. I did get fresh towels, and the POOP was cleaned up. Doesn't look like the owners take pride in this hotel, keeping up with painting, cleanliness. I understand that staff is hard to get, what with Covid going on, but after talking with other friends, they said their rooms were pretty bad too. I don't normally complain, as all I want is a clean bed, etc. but this hotel is really letting itself go.

Never again.

30 degree heat and a room with controlled a/c?? Asked the front desk to turn the a/c on in my room (the controls in the unit were missing) and she said she could not, offered me a fan. Asked her for another room and I have never heard such a loud a/c unit!  Could not sleep with it on nor could I hear the tv. TV had very few channels. Bath tub for a child.

I will stay somewhere else next time

Checked in, staff very good. Room faced the atrium and was very hot. No way to cool it down even though staff supplied a fan. The couch in the room looked dirty and we would not sit on it. Very poor given the virus crisis going on right now.
We asked for a room change and got one with a window we could open and and heat/ ac unit. Much better. 
Checked bill when checking out and staff had forgotten to indicate why we changed rooms and we were going to be charged more. This was rectified. 
Overall it is not an app leading place to stay. Our friends who we booked in with said it has gone downhill since their stay last year. Not recommended.

On Our Way Home

We have been going to the Taber Heritage Inn for the past 5 years for our business meetings. This past week we had a lunch meeting and the food was excellent. Honestly the best mashed potatoes I have had in years. Everyone’s meals were excellent and the fruit and veggie plates were completely fresh. We were very satisfied with the quality of food and the attention to detail from all the staff. Everyone on staff at the Taber Heritage Inn treat us like family and I enjoy working with all of them. Everyone from the kitchen team, front desk, restaurant and Lounge servers, Catering Manager and General Manager deserve to be mentioned. 

Thank you Steve, Kim and all the staff. We love your attention to detail and the recent changes that you have all made to make our experience more enjoyable. 

Great changes

It took 45 min to get our food. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet and never had one like that before were the ham and cheese was on top of the egg. Other family members were missing stuff from their breakfast also. It also needs a good cleaning the fan is so dirty. glad it was shut off or we would have had stuff falling into our food.

Breakfast

We stayed over at the hotel after a company Christmas party held there. The service and the food were great, I have no complaints. I only had two drinks and my wife just one and we went to our room probably between 10:00 and 11:00pm. The mattress in our room was the worst that I have ever tried to sleep on! It was hard on the edges and sloped into the middle so it was difficult to get off the bed and we couldn't help but roll into the middle and be right against each other. I love my wife but that was just too close for comfort. We slept between 3:30 and 6:00 am, got up and went home. We will never stay there again!

The Company Christmas Party

In Taber for a wedding. After having a very trying day and just wanting to relax, we checked in. The room was very small, a double bed for two of us and no heat. I cranked the thermostat and fell asleep. At 5 am it was 11 degrees in the room and still no heat. I went to the front desk, and was promised the maintenance guy was coming soon. At 8am we were finally given another room. Much better, with heat and 2 queen beds.

Overall, not a bad hotel, old, but it’s clean, friendly staff and very reasonable priced.

Not as advertised

Had a great stay at the Heritage Inn. A group of us drove down for the Car Show on Saturday August 24th. We were greeted by friendly staff, rooms were clean. Hotel was quiet and we had a great rest. Breakfast was included in our room rate. Check out was quick.

Corn Fest Car Show

We were going to continue to Medicine Hat, but decided we had driven far enough.  The room was clean, spacious and on the ground floor.  It also had a restaurant on premises and included a full breakfast.  The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was wonderfully warm and invigorating.  A great place to spend the evening.
