We stayed here for 1night while visiting a friend in the area and the bed and room was comfortable but the price was was way overpriced for a weekday. No coffee machine in room you had to hike all the way to the office outside to get ice or coffee. Not bad but except when pouring rain. No phone in room. Rate was $248/ night. Glad we only stayed 1 night.  You had to drive to get food anywhere nearby and try to find a parking spot was almost impossible. 

Quiet but overpriced. 

Me and my friend stayed here for 3 nights in june. This place was AWESOME. Check in was super easy and quick. The staff is very friendly and answered all my questions. The rooms were so so nice and clean. There was a mini fridge and AC. Coffee and ice was available at the office 24hr. The are a lot of seating area outside to have a drink at night and look at the beautiful sunset. 

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is pretty close to every big attractions in the area, and also a walking distance to some shops, and restaurants. There is also a spot to lunch a kayak or paddle board right in front of the hotel. I would go back any time and recommended it to every body visiting Tobermory.

AWESOME HOTEL

We stayed in room #20, and it had a lovely view from inside the room, plus a terrific deck with comfy patio furniture right outside. The bed was comfy - and the sheets were so soft! We slept well, and appreciated having a mini-fridge in-room.

Just returned from staying 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time at this little gem!!
Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly.  Location is great offering a water view.  Motel has several nice seating areas where you can bbq and eat, or just sit and enjoy the scenery.   Location is across the water from the Ferry dock, but only a 15 minute walk to get there.  We enjoyed being slightly away from the "main tourist area" and being able to watch the ferry come in and out several times a day.  Plenty of parking right in front of your room, and coffee available at the Front Desk every day.  No restaurant on site, but there are several only a 10-15 minute walk away.    
Thank you for a wonderful stay - we will be back!

A Great Stay!

Rooms clean. As expected. Beds comfortable. Several outdoor seating areas which was great for our group of 17. Stayed 1 night.
Short walk to restaurants, shopping, marina.
Would recommend and stay again.

Great stay

Very clean rooms. Beds were very comfortable.  Great location and nice seating areas with couches and tables. It is walking distance to the marina and shops/restaurants.  Coffee and ice are available in the office. We had the room with a king bed and it was spacious. Fridges are also in the rooms. Will definitely return

Beautiful motel, newly renovated, rooms are clean and spacious!!
Staff is awesome!  I loved the close proximity of the amenities…once we parked the car…we did not need to use the car.

I highly recommend this motel.

Lovely motel

They had overbooked their rooms. Good thing we showed up with our printed and emailed confirmation of 2 beds but they could only offer us 1 bed, which made for an uncomfortable stay . The woman who helped us even claimed we were wrong until we showed her the emails we received that confirmed our booking. While we remained polite, she lacked professionalism by being unkind, accusatory, and never apologized after she saw our confirmation email. The next day, there was a room available (matching our original booking) and she said we didnt have to pay extra for our new room as if she was doing us a favour. I remained polite the entire time throughout our stay with this condescending service, but I realize now in hindsight, we were very mistreated by the staff. I can sense they have prejudices against certain people and that they do not treat all guests equally.

I also had red bumpy bites all over my torso when I got home. I don't think they were bed bugs but I immediately washed all my clothes, to be safe. I had called the motel after and they said it wouldn't have been bed bugs and that it could have been other bugs while hiking. To be safe, check the mattresses before sleeping.

Lack of accountability and kindness at the Grandview. Be ready for unequal treatment.

Well, didn't even make it to the property and will NEVER visit this property!!!!
The Manager is absolutely ridiculous, uneducated, rude and quick to snap off at people, 
I booked this property 3 months ago for my anniversary through Booking,com,
Unfortunately, My son had an asthma attack and was admitted to hospital, We were unable to make the reservation so we canceled through the app that we booked it through.
This morning, while taking a break from my sons hospital room, i get a nasty message, all in CAPS with exclamation marks saying we should "IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL PICK UP A PHONE!!!!"

Needless to say, I phoned the property and had a terribly ignorant conversation with their "Manager"... I will NEVER EVER stay at this property or recommend it to anyone. I have never been spoken to like this and its not ok.

DISGUSTED!!!!

Couldn’t sleep, itchy all over all night, bed bugs? The  Pillows are smelly. My left eye and forehead are swollen from look like bug bites, my body covered with, looks like bug bites too. Next morning, I tried to talk to the staff about the bug issues, he said they would look into it, then he got a phone call, went back to answer the phone and never came back to reception desk again. 
 We stayed one night on September 23rd. Wifi was free, but very very slow.
We stayed at this motel because of good reviews. Never so disappointed! differently not recommend.
