We had booked a double room in this hotel more than 6 months ago. We had received the booking confirmation. What a bad surprise when we arrived! The hotel was closed! After waiting for the opening, we had to go to the obvious: there was no one. It was an employee who was renovating the hotel who explained to us that it was closed for renovation for ONE YEAR! So it was closed BEFORE our online booking. We had NO E-MAIL to warn us of this situation.

The hostel's unavailable and no one's warned us!

We stayed for 3 nights in a large double room, with two beds from a square and a half and a wall closet. When we arrived, the sheets and towels were clean, but the next few days the beds were never repaired. Even the cleaning of the room could have been more accurate (a glass of Starbucks had remained behind the table, from previous guests). There is also a TV in the room, a refrigerator with water bottles, a microwave oven and the toilet to make tea and coffee. The common rooms on the second floor are not bad, they also do not shine for cleaning, but they are more than acceptable.

You can't complain about it.

From the outside the building is nice. The reception of an employee was not very friendly, but was caught up by the manager afterwards. The room was not very clean (we found a bottle cap, an ear cap and 25 cents squared!), just like the bathroom floor. However, the toilet, the sink and the bathroom were, and branded soaps were available. We also had clean towels at our disposal in the room, as well as a refrigerator, and a microwave. The room was spacious, but damnedly besides cleanliness, I was bitten by bed bugs!!! We were killed in two, a horror. Unfortunately, we went to the manager's office, instead of returning the bags, and the hotel room was locked, even if the bus was free, or the bike was not in service!

What to Avoid

I stayed in this facility three nights and one night apart, gentle staff, quiet at night but not clean, dust in the containers of the coffee stacks, common bathroom to clean every time and clean room nonexistent, the bed was never repaired and the room never cleaned, verified by leaving a loaf of bread on the ground had for all three days and the last day in the room we had the bucket of dirty trash from the previous guest at this point wondering if the sheets were clean or were from the previous guest

Unsatisfied

We stayed one night in this guesthouse. The room is simple, clean, but the decor is a little old. The bathroom was separate from the room, but this one was quite spacious and clean. This place is well located in the quiet city in a lively neighborhood, nice little restaurants around, and parking is easily done on the street. In the event we feel like we were in a retirement or rest home because we came across little old people and a lady who strangely looked like a nurse in the rdc, screams coming out of the hallway which left us a little perplexed, but amused by the occasion.

A simple room, a retirement home...

The rooms are cozy, with tea and coffee service. There is also a refrigerator with water available. The bathrooms are clean and fragrant and the fact that they are shared does not weigh too much. The location is good, although quite distant from the subway: not too easy to reach on foot, especially with heavy luggage...it is 10-15 minutes walk so the ideal is a taxi from the station, 6 or 7 dollars and pass the fear! When you walk rested and light it is easy to get to the center on foot. The only thing we didn't like is the air conditioning too cold and without the possibility of regulating it several times...the rooms on the high floors have good air conditioning, on the first floor instead there is no air conditioning and it's pretty comfortable (we stayed two times 10 days apart, so in the bedroom it's hot for two days or more). For 3 nights or more it's still easy to get back.

Satisfied, no doubt

The guest house is very well located for walking around downtown Toronto. Our room was clean and quiet. The same goes for the town hall. For smokers the house has two terraces so one on the top floor overlooking downtown:-) Sleeping for less than $100 has two for a night in Toronto is almost a feat (we paid $65) plus the house had a parking lot! (for $10/day)!

Good value for money for Toronto

I stayed two nights in this hotel with a friend! The hotel is located 15 minutes' walk from the center. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are in common: the women's room I must say clean, the men's room small and dirty. The hotel is also a kind of rest home, where besides the suites there are also elderly people living there... so the tranquility is ensured:P!
