The cottage is very brief. In an area where there is nothing to eat 10 km around, there is no possibility of having something to make a coffee in the room, no glass, strict minimum for everything. The bathroom where you really don't want to stay long with a shower too small and slippery, a 30x30 mirror. Very small toilet towels.

For adventurers only

We were in camping car at the parking lot number seven, right by the river bank. Nice location of the campsite, but very simple. No electricity/water in the parking lot, you have to walk far to shower, but we liked to buy that.

Great location, easy equipment

at a very good location, the cabins are lovated near the river in the wood. There is everything what you need in the cabin. Just the bed is a little bit too small for two adults. For dinner you ve to drive for approx. 20 minutes.

Nice Cabins

We rented a cabin for two people. The cabin is simply equipped and has no hair dryer, for example! But all this didn't bother us, because it's just beautiful, to enjoy the peace, nature and the ambiance! Besides, it's only an hour away from Jasper National Park and the nearest place to shop was also just 20 minutes away! We enjoyed it all around but as I said, great luxury you can't expect here, but nature is pure!

Who seeks peace and does not need luxury

Had the best campsite (#20) right by the river and quite private. The staff was excellent every time we had questions and also for booking our white water rafting which was right there are so very handy. The wood for the campfire was a great deal, especially as our bundle included kindling, paper and lots of wood. Wish they sold ice but it wasn't far to go to get some. will definitely stay there again

great by the river

Our family of 6 stayed here for 3 nights in cottage E. A very small cabin for 6 people, but cozy and relaxing. The place was very clean and comfortable. The view is amazing; a peaceful and relaxing place. Terry the host was very friendly and helpful . We will return in the future and highly recommend this place.

Stunning view

We stayed in Cabin H which had a small deck on the back which had had an unobstructed view of Mt Robson. A little raining that day but was a great place to relax and kick back. Cute and cozy with a separate bedroom and a small functional kitchen. We had a bonus experience when a mother bear and 2 cubs strolled by next to the cabin. You will not be disappointed by nature.

Natural beauty and tranquility abound!

We stayed at this campground because we couldn’t book into a campground in Jasper, and what a blessing that was because of the stunning view it provided. It’s about an hour out of Jasper, and we ended up spending a day in Valemount as well because it was so close. The campsite itself is very rustic, there is no cell phone reception or wifi, which we believe adds to the charm. There are 2 toilets blocks, and 1 shower. The shower and 1 set of toilets is located up at the office, the campsites are all down a small hill on the river bank. If you are camping next to the river, the toilet is about a 3 minute walk around the path, it is very dark at night so plan your toilet trips wisely! They have white water rafting available, run from the campsite, we did not do this due to prior booked commitments but our camping neighbours highly recommended! The campground is a family run business, and they are indescribably friendly. If you are looking to stay somewhere in the area, even just for a night, would highly recommend to get a true Canadian camping experience (they do also have cabins of camping isn’t your thing). 

Well worth the visit 

We wanted to be close to Mount Robson so we stayed at a log cabin here with a view at Mount Robson......from our bedrooms and dining/living room. We were received in the office by 2 very helpful and polite staff members.

Our Cabin was clean, cozy and very welcoming, be aware to entertain your self when the weather is bad because there is no phone reception, tv or wifi here. The kitchen had a stove top, fridge and all the necessary cooking equipment. Our unit had a balcony where you could sit and just stare at Mount Robson. The walk from our cabin to the Fraser River only took a few minutes where you can enjoy just the quiet surroundings and the sound of the water of the river finding it’s way to the Pacific a long way from here.

Be aware that if you don’t bring food, the only place where there are restaurants with warm meals for dining are in Valemount ( about 20/25 min away ) or in McBride (45 min drive). There is a restaurant at Mount Robson but they are more a snack place with sandwiches or pizza etc., so not if you want a steak dinner or anything like that. The restaurant at Mount Robson is good for a healthy snack or a cup of coffee etc. while hanging around the visitor area.

When staying here at the Mount Robson Lodge and planning to go for a hike/walk to Kinney Lake etc., go early and I mean be at the parking for the hike at 9 or so because it can become a zoo and a long walk from parking your car to the start of the hike itself. I noticed this time too they park touring buses there and hordes of these tourist are on the hiking trail and dressed as if they are going to climb Mount Robson itself! ( probably just for the selfie to send back home or so ).

We stayed at a log cabin with a letter, they are A-I, however a bit east of the office are more cabins 1-9, we went there to check these cabins out too for future stay, I don’t think anybody was staying at these at the moment but for some reason we were not able to stay around there to have a look ( although the place and surroundings are fantastic and the views ), the reason we could hang around there was a lot of small flies all over the place so the ladies retreated very fast to the safety of the car. The flies were especially noticeable from cabin 4 towards 5 and 6. Did not notice them hardly at 1,2 and 3.

The only down note for our cabin was the blower in the bathroom. The blower is coupled to the power when you turn the light on in the bathroom which is no problem during the day, however if anybody, but anybody is going to the bathroom at night, say 1 am the other guest that were dreaming in their beds will be rudely awakened thinking they were at a runway and at jumbo jet was taking off. Now there was a nightlight that you could turn on and so not use the switch for the light/turbo blower, but....nightlight did not work. I asked for another one when they came to see if they could pick up the garbage or if we needed anything, well I needed another nightlight which worked fine first.....but not later on when I tried it. I wonder if the plug in was defect or something else was going on.

I’m also amazed now that I write this report that we did not hear anything from the heavy traffic on the highway that was not so far.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anybody anytime, except I suppose in -40c and 4ft ( 1m ) of snow, otherwise go and enjoy this place.

Room with a view!

I don't think it's the price and performance. The equipment was very simple. Everything went down a little bit. When you look at the mountain. That's a plus point to appreciate. We felt kind that we got a pack of coffee.
