The lobby smelt awful. To eat in the restaurant u must love curry. The notes they leave around the room are rude. The cleaners and workers r always walking around watching what u do. It looks nothing like the pictures. It is not on the water. Beds r very hard. Not well kept grounds. We will not stay there again.  The only thing appealing was the cost which is not worth it

My friends daughter booked the room...she went by the pictures of the motel rooms which looked awesome. Nothing at all like the pictures. The room smelled musty. The lightning was inadequate no air conditioner (fan was dirty). The door had a small hole at the bottom. The entire room was disgusting.

Lovely motel, very clean and quiet. Highly recommend the motel and restaurant if you want real Indian food. We had a great dinner and it’s reasonably priced. The young Indian men that bought the place last year are really making an effort. Nice grounds too

Great Motel

One of the worst hotels we have stayed at in a long time. The "fully equipped kitchen" consisted of a one-ring induction hot plate and a remarkably stained ancient frying pan. There wasn't enough cutlery for 2 people to eat. Good luck trying to cook a meal. The mold in the carpet provoked an asthma attack overnight.

Awful, dirty, moldy

Easy check-in, friendly staff and clean rooms. Our room had a bit musty smell, though. Paper thin walls and tiny bathrooms. We arrived just in time to catch the last 5 minutes of the CFL game we'd been listening to on the radio, but their cable package didn't include the TSN channels!!! 😭😭😭. 

Charming but not super.

Any good review left for this establishment is over two years old and was obviously from the previous owners. I had the misfortune of staying here twice with my family due to lack of options at the time we were looking to book our trip. The staff at the front seat was absentee at best. 

It went from bad on our first stay to worse on the second. At least, if not the nicest motel our first room had an ac unit and seemed somewhat clean. We thankfully brought a spare sheet to cover the gross futon, and set up a play pen in the centre of the room. It was adequate for a late arrival and early departure. 

It went from one bearable night on our first stay to disgusting on our return trip. Our second stay was just gross, the room was dirty. The walls, the floors the surfaces. The beds were uncomfortable and awful. There was no ac. Now imagine needing to stay here with CHILDREN. 

Do no stay here.

Don’t stay here. Period.

We have stayed at this motel almost every summer for the past 25 years and enjoyed both the accommodations  and the fine Polish food. We again booked a room in mid August, our first experience under the new ownership. The room had been repainted in a very amateur fashion and looked rather dark and dingy.  Carpets had been replaced by vinyl  flooring which was absolutely filthy and my white socks were brown after 5 minutes. The beds smelled musty. The restaurant seemed bright and clean and largely unchanged except with the addition of Indian food but the server seemed to have little or no experience.  The wine choices were “red or white” and questions about the types of wine were met with a blank look. Indian food is one of my favourites and I tried the butter chicken. Truly bland and probably the worst I have ever had. My partner ordered curried chicken - equally bad. Asking for coffee completely flummoxed our server who seemed like he had never heard of it. The next day we discovered we had a coffee maker in our room but no coffee! Needless to say we will not be staying there again.

New ownership needs to raise their game

We are really enjoying our stay. Very clean. Nice rooms and a great location. Nice outdoor sitting area. The management s very friendly and they can't do enough for us. We are staying 3 nights. Lots of outdoors activities to do in the area  Susan

New Management is great. Food is fantastic  Indian.

I am writing this for my partner who stayed here on February 28, 2022, but I paid for the room in advance as I had had a good experience there other times ( 2019 and earlier).  The following occurred for him and owners have not open to discussion nor compensation. These are from my partner's notes: No toilet paper, no heat and thermostat was non-functioning, so room was very cold.  No staff on site, no other clients, completely empty parking lot, no restaurant, no front desk despite that the Expedia review says "only one room left." Does that mean there is only ever one room available?  If so, why is this one room so unliveable?  Freezing inside but no bath because tub stopper did not work.  When unscrewed, a disgusting wad of hair was preventing closure.  After phone calls for help, a young man arrived with a portable heater and rubber tub stopper.  Thank you, but the room did not feel vetted for function or supplies.   Also, impossible not to track in wet snow as the front door mat was barely large enough to catch a drip.  Very sad because years ago this was a great place to stay.   Whoever owns it now is not responsible nor communicative and seems to be misleading with advertising.  Cost of $ 118 for the night was also the highest paid anywhere on the trip from Toronto to Vancouver Island.  For example, The Days Inn in Medicine Hat cost $ 90 for a swimming pool, sauna, free breakfast and a lovely warm room with a bath.  Disappointed to have to write this review.  The owner was given three phonecalls and a text with all this information documented to provide opportunity to discuss.  He evaded all conversation.  His customer service person is a woman who seems to do her best but is difficult to understand due to language dialect.  Not her fault but just another added challenge on top of many other cold and lonely challenges.

Expensive, terrible, disappointing

We booked in for one night as there was no where else in the area. First impression was good but quickly turned bad when we entered the room and were confronted with a terribly musty & moldy smell.

We were booked into Room #9.

We had the worst sleep of our vacation because the mattress had a terrible slope into the middle. It was impossible to sleep without rolling into the middle. The bathroom sink had a dish with dirty rags in it for cleaning your boots. The idea was good but they shouldn't be on the sink and they should have at least been clean rags.

In the morning when we went to take a shower we were shocked to see the amount of mold on the walls and ceiling where the shower was. It was so disgusting we left without showering. There was no one available in the morning to talk with and relay our concerns.

I would not recommend this hotel.
