Stayed in the motel. Wow HORRIBLE, would not recommend ANYONE to stay there. Wifi was not working at all, no housekeeping what so ever -the garbage was not taken out while our stay (several days), bathroom and kitchen have not been cleaned for a long time, it smelled cigar all over the place, the floor was dirty had to wear shoos all the time. Oh and if you need anything - good luck - as no one is at the office. There is a sign on the office door to call the owner from the laundry room phone where the phone number is, however the laundry room door is locked.  I believe it is a new owner as we stayed in the motel back in 2009 and it was wonderful.

Wow HORRIBLE

If you find this motel, run as fast as you can.We stayed here because everything was packed because of the First Nations party in Whitehorse.We paid in advance because we were going to be late and we didn't want to be without accommodation.If I read it, we slept in the car.The reception, if you can call it that, is minimal and dirty.We were charged 136 cad dollars that still hurt me.The lamentable rooms with beds that only had a shelf underneath and a mattress that I imagine they didn't have a bathroom years ago.It has a kitchen with a cafeteria, microwave and refrigerator.Everything is dirty and full of animal hair.We decided not to sleep in the shower.My recommendation: anything is better that there is even a shameful place to sleep.

It's a shame that there are places like this.

This is different from my first review which was good, I don't know what happen but they have let this good motel go down. When we arrived, no one in the office, there was a sign on door saying, I'm somewhere around, call this number. My phone wouldn't work there, so one of the people staying there called on his phone, He told them, You have someone here wanting in their room. She said she would be there in 10 mins.  We waited 20 mins. and a young man came and let us in our room. The coffee pot had coffee stains on top of pot. My husband clean it before he used it. I went to use the microwave and it was dirty, I clean it before I used it. Had this motel booked for June 24  when we would be coming back thru from Alaska,  After seeing this, I tried to find another place but didn't .I said well maybe they will clean better, because I left a note telling them You need to clean better. But when we arrived on June 24 there was a note in office window. SORRY WE ARE CLOSED . So we had no choice, we went on down the Alaska Hwy and found one room left at The Johnson Crossing.  I didn't say but our first day there was  June 16.May still be closed. I don't know why they closed, thought the health dept. might have closed them.

Dissapointed.

The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable.  The exterior looks great and the interior almost looked new.  Unfortunately there was just no attention to details.  It was as if it was either freshly built or renovated and they ran out of money to do the rest right.  
The baseboard heaters were in rough shape - they worked just didn't look good.  The propane stove looks like it came from the '50's and was missing one knob.  The blinds did not adjust the angle of the slats - not an issue in winter perhaps but when you get long daylight hours in the summer it is an issue.  The kitchenette was stocked with the bare minimum - 3 plates, 3 cups, 3 forks, 3 spoons, 3 knives (no bowls), one frying pan, one pot etc.  The caulking in the bathroom around the floor was terrible, it was very rough so it captured all kinds of dirt.  As for the free internet, it was spotty at best - you may or may not be able to get a signal
When you looked out the kitchen window you overlooked a bunch of boxes and plastic containers that were stored there and a few abandoned vehicles - not a pretty sight.
Possibly the worst though as others have commented was the uncertainty of getting hot water.  I got up early and was always able to get a hot shower but those that rose after me may not have.
If I had to do it again I would look for another place (we like kitchenettes so are sometimes limited in what we can find), if we couldn't find anything we would return because nothing was terrible about the place just there was no attention to details.

Good potential, needs work on the execution

Office Staff does not show up til 3 pm. Very nice people but sites are uneven and lot's of gravel. Some Electric hook up do not work. Price is 35.00 or 10% less if good sams. Could not get cable neither. Have Showers and laundry. Bring own Toilette paper !!!!!
Close to town so ok for stopover. Wifi worked ok

RV STAY

The staff were nice and I was grateful to find a room in a city where all the other hotels were sold out. I had a room with a shared shower, which in itself doesn't bother me however the shower was filthy. And the bedroom area looked like it hadn't been dusted nor cleaned in a long time. Don't walk barefoot...even on the carpet.
