Clean friendly hotel, I’ve stayed this hotel more than 100 times. Location is very safe. Western restaurant. A great buffet breakfast included. Price is very competitive. In the business area but you wouldn’t know it.

Business as usual

The best reason to stay at this hotel is the location. If you have business in Dali, this is your best option - especially in light of the traffic. If that's why you stay, and it's only for a night or two, you'll be fine. The hotel interior looks like a downmarket Versailles, only less tasteful. The rooms are largely fine, though the pillows were a touch on the hard and cheap side. On the downside, the wifi went down for the one evening I was there, and that was truly a problem.

The 3rd floor "Western Restaurant" is passable, and the staff is friendly enough. However, if you don't speak Chinese you'll find yourself struggling a bit.

Finally, it's worth noting that the hotel is connected to something called the "Lion's Club." This is an adult entertainment venue for the benefit of a male clientele. Guests who have no interest in such entertainment should be aware that its recreations occasionally find their way into the hotel lobby and elevators.

Mediocre Grandeur

The worst part is that you will see cockroaches in the breakfast area.It is very difficult to find someone who speaks English so it is very difficult to communicate with the staff.On the other hand, you have to consider that the price is quite low, so you should not expect much more than what they offer.

It takes enough to get to 5 stars.

Stayed 1 night on Saturday with a large group from Hong Kong for a weekend just at a tour fee HK$409, meals transport and hotel inclusive.  

Ok for our stay.  It was ever brilliant and fantastic I suppose, during the one or two years of opening.  Now, tired, dim, some facilities are ones you'd better not use eg the swimming pool which looks dirty.

There are no shops or decent restaurants around (only 3 or 4 unattractive eateries in the opposite) and you may take a 5-min taxi ride to the more central area.

Rooms are spacious, cleanliness ok, many channels including English ones. Breakfast ok.  Not so many guests as I suppose.

Overall, ok, not bad.

Dim, Tired, Large in Area

This hotel is quite large, well decorated in its reception and in the rooms, quite comfortable, but the service of the restaurant el desayuno is very limited and very little attention from the staff.

Well, that's right.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, due to its proximity to the factories I visit, otherwise its a 40 minute drive. Very impressive entrance and lobby. The rooms are also quite large, but looking tired. There is no "No Smoking" policy in the rooms so there is a background smell of smoking if the previous occupant was inclined that way. The restaurant used to be good in the evening, now its buffet style and lukewarm, so its better to eat elsewhere. The same goes for breakfast, it is better to forget most of the buffet and order a fresh omelette. The staff are very helpful but there English is not so good. The beds are rock hard, use the spare duvet as a mattress.

Rooms are looking tired

After 3 years, I was here again - the hotel is still very cheap, but it has declined. The check-in was a disaster (first the wrong room/was occupied), then the room key didn't work. The air conditioning only worked partially, that is, the room was usually too warm. Otherwise OK, but just average, nothing special. The next time I visit I try another hotel.

Leave it alone!

Very decent hotel. Rooms comfortable and clean. Food is good, breakfast is good with good balance of western and Chinese dishes. 
Down side is that sometimes noise from karaoke bar can be quite annoying in the evening. 
Check out was quite an adventure, as no one informed us that room rates changed for duration of fair. Also, displayed prices were same all the time.

Very good choice

The hotel is conveniently located in Foshan and it is much cheaper than the hotels in Guangzhou - best suited for visiting customers in this area. Large rooms, very clean, huge bathroom, nice service (even if only a few staff speak English). Good breakfast (rarely in China).
