Pros: 

Location is close to buses, metro, shops, restaurants and street food.

Meet some really nice people and had a great night out with them.

Wifi was great

Bathroom was dirty needs a good clean as dose the dorm floor was very dusty.



Good location and views!

Very nice home from the owner, but the common areas are dirty. Bathroom not clean and switches dirty. Location 5 minutes from the subway very nice view of a park. Small room, very dirty kitchen. No pool contrary to the advertisement. Good quality ratio price if it was clean...

Not clean

This hostel is an apartment that has been outfitted with bunkbeds and bathrooms. It's not the fanciest looking hostel, but the lady that runs the place is amazing. She speaks quite a few languages - Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesian, and English at the very least - and knows a lot about Guangzhou. If you need any ideas for places to visit, how to get there, or even restaurant recommendations, she can help! She can even write meal suggestions for you in Mandarin if she knows the place. She is very concerned with the happiness and comfort of each person's stay and the hostel is worth visiting for her alone.

Super friendly and incredibly helpful staff

the staff are so helpful and friendly, the bed was very comfortable,  the location is amazing, you can use the kitchen, excellent fellow backpackers make new friends - from many different countries. Explore Guangzhou using Sunshine as your base.

Backpackers Dream

We stayed here for 4 nights over Chinese New Year and had the best time. The owners are super friendly and made us feel part of the family. Such a lovely place to hang out and they have an epic view! We stayed in a private room which was small but fine and across the corridor from a bathroom.

Really lovely hostel, highly recommend

We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, it cost 150 yuan. In the hotel, we took a two-bedroom. All rooms are on the 24th floor of the apartment building. They ask for a key deposit of 100 yuan. Shower and toilet are common. There is a common balcony with a beautiful view of the city. The hostess was kind and helped with the city tour route.

Best place to stay with amazing view from the balcony & you make many foreigners friends, all are very friendly, they have kitchen as well so you can make your own food, i will definitely visit this place again whenever I come to Guangzhou. Even the owner is very helpful, she can help you out in each and everything & she even speaks English as well 

Very friendly place to stay

The first time we decided to stay in a Chinese hostel, we thought it would be awful and imagined everything. We chose the hostel for a long time and stopped our choice at this hostel. Everything was pleasant: clean, very welcoming hostess, who spoke English well and was always ready to help.

It's a great hostel.

I like it very much! The place is convenient and the hostess is welcoming and responsive! Everything is cleanly cozy and comfortable only the internet is slow! And so hard 5-ka! Now I'll be staying here all the time! I've visited a few hostels but this one is the best and mostly foreigners stay here, so you can make new friends from all over the world)))

That's great.

The second time I stayed at the Sunshine Hostel and the next time I was on business. I liked it, the owners knew a lot about the markets and how to get there. There were guests from Russia, which was very happy. I met people from China and other countries at this hostel, chatting, eating and walking together.
