Very large hotel and little thought of for Westerners!!!!!! Large room, very uncomfortable bathroom and something old, very hard beds, breakfast buffet with little variety of food... It could be cleaner If I return to Luoyang I'll look for another alternative.

 Improved

The hotel has a rich history, it has been visited by leaders of China and other countries. But now the ventilation system is very old and noisy, so I couldn't adjust it to the optimal temperature. Breakfast is not geared towards Europeans, but there is something to eat and eat. I would have put the hotel down one day, but I can't tell the staff. Here you've all been told why they're coming back to the hotel, but they'll come back to the hotel in the morning, but they'll come back to the hotel in the evening, but they don't even have to come to the hotel at night.

Tired hotel

We've only been in Loyana for two days, so we stayed for a short time. It's just a good hotel: a polite staff, a comfortable, clean room with everything necessary, good breakfast.

I liked the hotel.

In this hotel we ate the most delicious and varied breakfast of our entire stay in China! Overall, this hotel seemed quite neat, the rooms were cleaned to the best of our ability. The rooms had free quality tea (there was nothing like this in China except Loyan). Very large and comfortable beds. From the hotel you can book a trip to the Shaolin Monastery. We didn't order because we were traveling by package.

The best breakfast we ever had in China.

We ended up at this hotel completely unexpectedly needing for a room for the night. The staff were extremely helpful and very accommodating. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that was the nicest we stayed in in China. It was clean and a great size, the only down side was no foreign television - movies might have been nice. We ate dinner in the restaurant - it was a buffet - delicious and we also had breakfast there too. That was included in our room rate and was very good. Would definitely stay again. 

Excellent service 

A good hotel, (not the one shown in the photo of this review), everything in this hotel turned out very well, well located, clean room with a quality point, attentive staff, eastern/western breakfast more than enough.

Good hotel, with a high rating in all its services.

The hotel has a good price-performance ratio. The rooms are clean, they are cleaned daily. The breakfast is very Asian in style, there is only a small western corner. The staff is very friendly as you know it from Chinese. The English language, however, is not all powerful. At the bottom of the corner of the hotel is a music club. The music or bass is already felt up to the sixth floor, which is very annoying. Be careful when choosing the room.

Good hotel.

Definitely the hotel rooms are rather old and may need some renovation - however, in terms of service and service attitude of the entire staff there are few hotels in China that could compete. the location is pretty attractive for tourism focused families - unfortunately, no gym or swimming pool available 

Good location and excellent service attitude

The hotel is clean and comfortable,Staff are friendly but their english is poor as of mine. Breakfast is not great but is good. Beds are not soft but are completely comfortable. There are not many places or restaurants nearby.

Clean, comfort

The room was luxurious with a comfortable king size bed just for me.  The breakfast was excellent a huge varied smorgaboard and excellent coffee. Free water and fruit each day was provided and a turn down gift every night.There was also the important internet connection for those who needed it. The only thing that seemed to be missing was a comfortable sitting area close to the foyer to sit or have a cup of coffee.  The position was excellent close by to local cafes and a wonderful people park opposite.  Peony Park was a park for activities or people watching.  On the weekend it also catered for children, and during the week it was used for exercise, dancing, tai chi, martial arts, gossiping, whip cracking and many more activities.  The peonys had finished blooming but the display of roses was a highlight.  Being opposite this park was a bonus. When we visited in May 2014 the Companionship Guesthouse was called the Friendship Guesthouse.  Reception staff not very fluent in English but o k.  Sweets at reception.
