The room is quite crowded, the beds are very bad, there are no mattresses or foam mattresses, very uncomfortable, since after a while you sink and fall almost on the tables, the wifi never works, there is a very unpleasant old man in the room all drunk, and vomiting from time to time, in addition to the fact that half the time is naked, the kitchen is large and well equipped but it is all dirty, the staff does not speak English, the TV is also always occupied by the old man or some people who seem to live in the hostel for a long time, the breakfast is always the same and sometimes there is no breakfast, in general everything is very dirty.

Only if you like the heat.

A comfortable and clean hostel.The room with four bedrooms was excellent for my stay with my family.You have the option to cook whatever you want in a clean and well-organized kitchen.The care of the staff is excellent.

A good option

We were staying in a large, illuminated and very clean room. The beds were very comfortable. We shared a room with two very special people and had a great time. The terrace is spacious and very pleasant to hang out on. The common spaces were very fun. There was a group of singers-guitarists from Israel with a very good repertoire. The bathrooms were quite spacious and comfortable and very clean and organized. They provided clean towels because we didn't wear them. The breakfast was quite good. The coffee was delicious. We had a really safe and good space. Totally recommended.

Excellent service.

Safe, secure, and a great staff!  You won't find a better place to stay in Leticia!  I stayed here for several nights both before and after a mult-night stay in Mocagua.  The staff was really good to me and, I think, to all the guests.  Clean, safe, secure and comfortable lodging.

Fantastic

The price was 22000 COP in a bedroom to share for 6 people, the room that corresponded to us had a wet smell, a negative point. Likewise, the people who were guests there did not give me confidence in the price. Fortunately, we stayed only one night. The kitchen has enough tools to cook, has a terrace with hammocks and chairs. In addition to having 3 bathrooms, enough books. A good breakfast.

However, the affordable hostel does not offer anything extra.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights while exploring the Amazon. The hostel is spacious, regularly cleaned and maintained, is environmentally friendly and health conscious; it has a good family and some of the staffs are nice and accommodating. Wifi is not very consistent as expected inside the Amazon region. With that said, there are a few things that I want to bring out.

1. In one occasion, a male staff repeatedly asked and guessed about my girlfriend's age while she was alone cooking in the kitchen, my girlfriend mentioned multiple times that she does not want to reveal her age and the situation made her fell uncomfortable, and finally the staff asked if I am her boyfriend or just friend. Perhaps it was due to language barrier as my girlfriend only speaks English not Spanish. I only found out about this incidence after we left Leticia, otherwise I would had mentioned it to the management directly.

2. Before we checked-in, I repeatedly asked in Spanish about the total price for two people for two nights, but at the end the quoted price was for a single night. I ended up paying double the price that I initially thought I needed to pay, which was the most expensive stay throughout my 1.5 months of travel in Peru and Amazon. I genuinely hope this was a miscommunication perhaps due to language proficiency. 

3. We got questioned from the owner to other guests throughout about where we are or our parents are from, some tried to just point the finger at us and blendly guessed before they even asked about our names and alike. It seems like one convenient and innocent question to start a conversation, but it does add up after months of travelling in South America. Instead of just trying to identifying us based on our visual characteristics (we are both Chinese) out of your curiosity, I encourage you all to genuinely learning who we are as individuals or our purpose in the journey.

Decent Hostel with Upsides and Some Suggestions

nice little guesthouse in Leticia. offers spacious rooms, small breakfast, kitchen, small rooftop terrace, laundry service. my room was facing the street which can be very noisy especially on the weekends because there is a bar/disco right opposite.
it is not the only guesthouse where I was and I personally prefer others (for the same price) because they offer a garden and even a pool, which I am missing in La Casa del Kurupira

ideal place for a short time

We stayed with my husband one night after our trek with selvaventura I have a hard time understanding the complimentary comments about this soulless place. It's just a youth hostel, in a concrete building. It doesn't even reflect the environment of the Amazon like other hostels in Leticia. Cold shower, toilet that communicates through a window with that of the other room, bed that lacks parts of the summer. In short, no desire to spend more time than sleeping.

Since we were on a trek with selvaventura they booked us last night in the hotel across the street that they own. it's actually a youth hostel with no charm and no soul. quite ordinary, poor look. well after three days of jungle it's fine.

The hotel is in a good location..with very unique rooms and qualified staff has wifi, very spacious rooms where the client feels at home and very satisfied with the service provided by the rental.
