Very hard to find very noisy room, planes, cars, not very isolated good clean bed we couldn't test breakfast because we left at 5am we would have liked the owner to leave us a cookie and something to drink before we started the 4h road.

The Step to the Arrival

It's convenient because it's close to the airport, otherwise no interest, proper lunch, proper room, but we were given a key that didn't lock our bedroom door, so it was hard to find the hotel entrance.

I'm going to go.

We had a 2 night reservation through Hotels.com, that were booked 8 months ago. We showed up yesterday to checkin, concluding our 2 week visit of Costa Rica & planned on chillin for 2 days before flying out. That's when the nightmare began. Upon check in the wife told us there was a problem that the Superior - multi bed room was already occupied. So she calls her husband, who tells us that he no longer works with Hotels.com since Februrary, ( we booked in November). He said that it didn't matter that we had confirmations through the booking company, that we didn't have confirmation through them. Now we're mad, does he think we're idiots & this is our first time traveling... He gave away our room, & could careless. They said they had a 1 bed room but only for 1 night, we were 3 adults. We started exchanging some heated words, because the husband was treating us like idiots. He actually thought the excuse of, "Uh... You don't really have a reservation because it was only confirmed through the booking company, and not through us" excuse was going to work. We finally left, & went to the Marriott a couple miles away, a couple dollars more, but man well worth it. The La Villa B&B is a little hick run dive, in a bad neighborhood, run by a couple "Hills have Eyes" family members.

Nightmare

It is very close to the airport.The gentleman who serves is very kind and attentive.The room is comfortable, the bathroom is shared, and the facilities are fine.It is a very nice house, and it is cheaper than other hotels that are also close to the airport!

Good place to be.

It's an oasis 10 mins from SJO airport. We had a huge room with private bathroom (there are rooms with shared bath) and slept great after a long haul flight. Very comfortable, staff went out of their way and the green garden + pool are a total bonus. Very safe parking for our rental car too and use Google maps to get to it as it's not easy without it. Keep in mind that it is next to airport, but noise stops at night, kids were sleeping by 8pm and it wasn't an issue. It's a fantastic stop for first or last night in Costa Rica.

Great place by airport

Even though it is close to the airport (5 min drive) this B&B is an oasis of rest and beauty :) very nice and proper garden and the room was large with a very comfy bed. Breakfast is good, choice between french toast and scrambled eggs during our stay but it varies 

Relax

Small hidden but safe b&b. With swimming pool but warning, always cold water in San José. Very clean, floor of rooms a bit worn out. A nice lunch. Very good atmosphere and good service. A little noisy since it is close to the airport and the motorway. 5 minutes to get to the airport. I recommend. Take a swimming pool room.

That was a good choice.

It's a bit like sleeping in the cupboard of a noisy family's house, albeit quite a pleasant house. I chose to stay here for the convenience to the airport but in reality its not walkable so it would have been easier and cheaper to catch the $1 bus to San Jose. 
I feel a bit bad because they did try and make me welcome and cooked a good breakfast, but I don't think it's ever acceptable to wake up your jet lagged guests before 6am with what sounds like a warzone of industrial gardeners!

Authentic Harry Potter Experience

Would recommend to use Uber in case if you decide to stop your choice in this B&B - pretty fast and cheap;  the place itself not in the walking distance to any shopping area or restaurant, though there is some food delivery; internet is pretty good; bathroom to share - very clean, nice garden, quiet place; the only disappointment was - ordered taxi for the airport, but no taxi at appointed time, and no-one available at the reception to ask..had to use application Uber, thankfully arrived immediately

Cose to airport

The photos are accurate but do not reflect the poor reality of the place at all. The house is located from a glazed area at the end of the airport runway and next to a highway. So a pool that is useless! At night we had all the trouble to find the impasse where the house is located! The windows are simply glazed and close badly without even dark curtains. The linoleum on the floor is half-rotten. The room is so small that we couldn't put our two suitcases in the night without having to load them.! No pretty decorations on the bed as in the photos... Little lunch! In conclusion c is a very poor quality ratio even if the room is at 60€ ALYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
