Great location with a wonderful sea view. We only booked one night but ended up staying 3 nights! The rooms are good and clean and it's quiet at night even though it's off the main road. The bakery across the road is great and there are great restaurants serving Caribbean food. The tiki bar at the end of the beach was our favourite bar just at the corner. 

The hotel doesn't serve breakfast but has a common kitchen area. Beach towels and other items such as paddle boards are available to borrow. 

Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place.

Great location with sea views .

Really liked this place. Easy walk to restaurants in town, including bakery across the street and very good Italian restaurant across the street. Although it's a beachfront property, we had to take a lovely jungle hike of about a km to a beautiful swimming beach, because the beach in front of the hotel is rocky. 
There is a fridge in the room, but if you want coffee, you have to make it in the common area, which we only did when the bakery across the street was closed (Wed.) 
I saw beach towels in the office but never saw any staff when we needed them, so I don't know if they were available.

Very convenient to town but quiet

Excellent attention, everything very clean and orderly, very quiet, the garden is beautiful, you can see that they are dedicated to the maintenance of the place and the customer service, the location is excellent very centrally, has a direct exit to the sea, very pleased with the truth! 👍

Excellent place to stay.

Very good location, practically in the center of Puerto Viejo and, at the same time, with views and direct access to the sea. A very luxurious sleeping with the sound of the waves of the sea. There is no air conditioning, but there is a roof ventilator that works very well. Everything a detail that offers coffee and tea courtesy in the common area.

Very recommended for your stay in Puerto Viejo.

We stayed at the Yucca 4 nights and it was all great! Superb accomodations at a very reasonable price. Staff extremely helpful. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Location was excellent. Less than a 10min walk to downtown but still situated in a quiet location. Good Italian resto next door and bakery across the street. Hotel has a kitchen that all guest can use for free. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay at Yucca hotel

Definitely perfectly located from the center of town. Comfortable room and shower. A very big plus is that the rear terrace overlooks the beach and water. You can watch the waves crashing on the peach all day. Great bakery across the street called Di Gustibus. I was there everyday. A path in the rear leads to Cocal beach about 20 minutes away. The other direction leads to town. Room has a fridge and safe also. TV is hit and miss but who goes there to watch TV? Also good internet. 

A good choice and the price is right. Returning soon. I used to stay at Banana Azul but the pricing goes up every year. Staying at Yucca I spent for 6 nights what I would pay 4 at Azul.

Great Place!

Ocean Front.. super quiet, relaxing. Ocean Breeze.. Comfortable bed. A/C.. 2 access from frrom to street and beach. Very secure parking. Friendly staff and clean. We are regular visitors and love it. 👍👍

Super Beachfront Location

After having been in the cabinas Yucca for 3 nights in March 2019, I booked 8 nights in the cabinas Yucca this year. It had proved to be easy at the time and therefore this year it could not be missed. The cabinas are on the edge of town and you can walk to the town centre in a few minutes and the beach is also within walking distance. The German owner is helpful and ensures cleanliness and order. Also the staff of the cabinas is nice and helpful and I liked to have a short conversation with the guests of the recipe, who were also given good suggestions for day trips. Also handker for the beach you can get to the reception at the remote. There is a remote parking lot and I would be able to spend a full day in the community and I would be able to park in Costa Rica in my own case and I would be able to spend a full day in my car overnight.

Very nice accommodation

The place is really cozy.It has a special location since walking 100 meters to the center of Puerto Viejo, with many options for gastronomy and entertainment.Yucca is one of the best in Puerto Viejo.

The perfect location.

I stayed here with my fiancé for almost a week and had no desire to leave. First day we walked out of our room the ocean was less than a hundred feet away. Then, we looked up and there was a family of monkeys climbing the tree above us. It was picturesque. Marjam could not be a nicer host. Very much recommend.
