This place does not have any of the amenities in the photos. It is deserted. Run down. Dirty and dark. Used soap. Used toilet paper left behind. Awful nasty linens. A/C not working . Very sketchy place with sketchy person to let you in. No secure parking

I booked online from the Liberia airport after our flight was cancelled and we had to stay the night.  The e mail instructions said the desk was closed after 5:00 pm and I should call for check in instructions.  I called the number they provided and got a recording saying it was disconnected.  As a result I was unable to check in.  I had to find another hotel and Vista Bahia Beach Resort refused to refund my money.

Took My Money But I Couldn't Check In

If we were in communist Czechoslovakia in 1983, that would be fine. I don't think this place has been renovated for 40 years. This apartment is a joke. NO COLD WATER. Dirty. I can't open the curtains. Random parking. They took 10 minutes to find my reservation while we're about 3 customers on the whole site. The interior and exterior furniture date back to Reagan's time. It's very rare that I give bad ratings/bad reviews, but here, honestly, I couldn't help myself.

A slap in the face

The location of the place is excellent, the rooms have a balcony overlooking the sea, the surroundings are wonderful, peaceful, surrounded by trees, visited by various species of birds and monkeys, seeing the sunrise from the balcony is unsurpassable. There is a viewpoint and the way to the beach, which is about a 5 minute walk, the hotel encompasses a small beach, without oils and little traffic, as well as Panama Beach, both beautiful beaches. The room #26, located in the last building, the plant, the kitchen was only equipped with electrical space and tools, we had a very large new space, with enough room for luggage, and the balcony with mosquito water we could generally serve, ventilators and bathroom with tin tin.

Peace, tranquility and nature

The reception if you can call it that, is in that old ranch and has no lighting, it is dark. The service is of low quality, you get the towels in the reception, which look bad. You arrive at the villa, doors that are hard to open, unsecured inside, or secure roads and in poor condition, damaged and incomplete persianas. The cottages do not have a backdrop, at least in the villa they gave us, the beds also had the cover to the reverse, and it gives the impression that both the laundry and the bathrooms were turned around. The reception rooms have a single piece of paper, no consistency. There are no pillows, no alcohol in the carriages and no locks in the rooms, and there is a key to the security of the hotel, but the hotel is not the only way to get to the hotel.

The worst place.

Worse, the place doesn't look like the photos, the facilities lack much maintenance, we don't go out to breakfast because the restaurant doesn't look very good, the rooms are very unsafe, and there is no cleaning staff.

Worst expedience ever the room was never cleaned the toilets shower really dirty they didn't have a clean bed sheets they didn't have comforter they didn't have electricity there were many bugs crawling all over the floor they turned off electricity after 10:30 and never turned it back on we couldn't sleep for even  an hour they rented out some rooms for partying all night long it was the worst experience ever

 please all these booking sites  should remove this hotel as it is not a resort its not even a 1 star hotel.. please do not go here.

Worst experience ever

I had the pleasant experience of booking an apartment, with basic food preparation equipment, comfortable, clean and functional space, a farmhouse with plenty of vegetation, a very quiet beach ideal for family enjoyment, Alejandro's attention, the cleaning girl and the boys at the reception, very kind and attentive, make him feel like one.

A refuge from everyday stress.

We barely got to the watershed. We settled for half an hour and then again without water. The next day without water again. Parking is not safe. We pay for 4 people and one towel. Everything bad. Fatal. Never more!! No safety the Garbage was destroyed by monkeys.

It's terrible!!

This property is in a fabulous location, and Playa Panama is a wonderful  beach. The resort obviously has seen better days, and now it is falling apart, which is really too bad. It has potential. 
The apartment hotel suites are very large, and actually quite comfortable. They were clean, but inconsistent as to what was available in each suite.
Not every suite has deck chairs, proper towels, kitchen cooking equipment, etc. 
The pool was having issues, and it was dirty and very cloudy. It closed one day, and appeared to have been drained & re-filled. 
As for service, there was no information left in the room for wifi or other info, so we had to ask the neighbours for passwords & such. The ladies at the "bar/kitchen" were accommodating, but sometimes were just no where to be seen. So, perhaps they have trouble filling staff positions. Friends liked the food, but after trying the nachos, we didn't bother. 
One very good point though... Louis booked a fishing trip with two local guys, and they picked us up right on the beach below the condos. They were great, and we caught lots of fish, where others did not. 
So, if you go with high expectations, don't. IF you are prepared to "make do" with what you have, and just enjoy the location, the large suites, the beautiful view, the quiet, and the wildlife (howler monkeys regularly go through the property)... you will have a lovely time, as the rates seem to reflect the lackluster appearance of the place. Just be prepared!
