My companion and I recently stopped in Baska for a few days, as part of a vacation in Istria and Dalmatia. We wanted to stay at the Burin Pension which had been recommended to us by a friend, but unfortunately there were no free rooms. The owner kindly accompanied us to a nearby villa where we found a comfortable accommodation. He also agreed that in the morning we went to have breakfast at his Pension.

That's a good solution.

We are a family of two adults and two boys (18 and 14 years old) and on our tour of Croatia we stayed for three nights on the island of KRK and in particular in Baska at the Pension Burin. Excellent choice. The hotel is located 10 minutes' walk from the centre and the main beach, large parking available and quiet sleeping areas. We were given a large quadruple with balcony. We enjoyed half pension: plenty of sweet and salty breakfast (exceptional homemade waffles and marmalades) and dinner with quality alternate fish and meat (fixed menu).

We stayed in this guesthouse for a week, in two couples. We had a good time. The guesthouse is well maintained and is ten minutes' walk from the beautiful long sandy beach. You eat discreetly. Booking in half a guesthouse we had a really rich breakfast, a buffet, with homemade jams, cakes, waffles, brioches, salads and cheeses, even eggs cooked at the time you want them. Instead, dinner is served at the table, one evening is based on meat and then on fish, without choice, but despite everything, a plate of pasta, second and sweet. The rooms are a little small but clean. The owners are friendly, and we always accept everyone's requests.

A good retirement for a short break

We booked in this guesthouse for very competitive prices compared to the rest of the baska.Sometimes when you spend too little you have the feeling that there will be the fridge waiting for you instead in this case it didn't go this way...clean room with sea view (pleasantly Mr. Erik gave us a room with balcony that at the time of booking was not available) and bathroom in the room.If I have to find defects maybe I would put a shower box instead of the tent and some extra shelf in the bathroom that is otherwise blind...but this is the only negative thing I can point out.Good food abundant both for breakfast and dinner.

Great discovery

Nice and quiet place, easy to reach and spacious parking.. Great accommodation and availability. Good home-cooked dinner.

That's nice.

The guesthouse has a beautiful location overlooking the sea and the hills. To the sea is not far. For breakfast, you have five options on the menu. I slept in a small attic room. Furniture would need renovation, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean.

Nice place, with good breakfast

I was here for a weekend with my elderly parents. Everything was perfect for us. Very clean room and good coalition (large choice between 5 breakfasts) especially fig jam (I also bought 4 vases). Price in September more than good, almost unbelievable. We paid €65.00 per night for 3 people including breakfast. One night we decided to eat there and we paid €95.00 (without drinks) for the half pension (always for 3 people)!!!!! I would definitely go back.

Always a charming Basque

In this restaurant we only had dinner, and not overnight.The 10 minutes walk from the centre, in our opinion, were well invested, as the food, although cut at home, seemed very valuable to us.Large portions and lower prices compared to the centre of Baška.

From some reviews we were a little worried about what we would find, but we found ourselves very well. The structure is beautiful with a large garden and a very quiet outdoor dining area. The clean room as well as the bathroom. We made half a pension and both for breakfast and dinner we found ourselves well for the price paid (and considering the crazy prices of the island, Burin is definitely affordable!). One of the managers/owners and his wife are very kind.

Good price and quality ratio

So far, it's all worked out, but we were staying in a very small mansion, which was less beautiful, and the staff could really optimize the organization.
