The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. It is relatively close to the old city. 
There is absolutely no sign of the apartment, so, you don't know where to go or knock (no ringbell either). We had GPS with us, that's how we found the place, otherwise, no chance. The lady taking care of the apartment doesn't speak English nor German (as stated in the booking site), this made communication difficult. The manager did speak English, but she was extremely unfriendly. We booked a parking spot that we never got. She said we could park on the street and she would pay the parking fine if we got one. But since we had a rental car and didn't want to get into trouble, we ended up paying for the parking ticket (in Dubrovnik you pay the parking all day long). The place was nice, but this bitter situation made our experience not so pleasant.

No parking in Dubrovnik

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We had a ground floor terrace room. Bed comfy, good shower, good wifi and TV. Breakfast was excellent and Anita the owner went to lots of effort each morning to put on a nice buffet breakfast. Breakfast is taken outside in the garden. This is a really good value accommodation about 10 minute walk from city centre.  2 important things to mention:  from the city centre to the accommodation you will need to climb a total of about 270 steps. 200 of them near the city and 70 of them from the road to the accommodation.  The 2nd thing is the parking.  Limestone house address is on ivana mazuranica which is not a road but a steep set of steps. When you drive down zagrebacka ul it will change from a 2 way street to a 1 way street. On your right is a car park that you will have to pay for. Directly in front of you is a zebra crossing. Do not pass this but pull over on the left next to this crossing. You will see a travel agent door and a green door to the left. Go through that door and up some steps and call for Anita.  There you are job done!.  If you miss this point you will have to go all around the one way system.  Also the free parking offered at this accommodation is small and was taken up by customers motorbikes. I think cars will have to go to carparks.

Lovely stay

This is by far one of the nicest guesthouses I have ever stayed at - quirky, friendly, comfortable and such good value for money. Anita, the owner, goes to so much trouble to make you feel welcome and the breakfasts are just legendary - we were welcomed with cakes on arrival and when we left this morning she had cooked pancakes, all extra to the cereals, hams, cooked breakfast choices already available. Yes, there are some steps to get you down to the road - but there are many more from there to the Old Town, but all very do-able to anyone who is able bodied. For those who round it difficult to find - just read a few reviews and you will know where it is - at the top of the stairs and right in front of you. Five of us stayed there for three nights and we all would highly recommend it. Perfect for visiting Dubrovnik and getting away from the sterility of chain hotels. Charming additions such as the family of tortoises make it quaint, unique and desirable. We can't wait to go again.

Fabulous place to stay

Localization extremelly hard to find, without any indication, even in place, in the middle of a long stair. Nobody there to receive guests and none information how to find.
No free parking at all. Be prepared to pay 3€ per hour, day and night.
Lousy Wi-fi and tv service.
Don't count on the owner for any support at all.
Try to ask for a receipt!

Place to avoid

We booked in a facility described as a pleasant B&B from an ancient house with limestone walls, instead they placed us in a kind of modern student residence run by nuns.

It does not match the structure described!!!!!!!!!!

The reception is friendly and the room is clean and comfortable with air conditioning. The establishment is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, surrounded by a small garden and well placed to visit the old town on foot, despite the long stairs up and down. Negative points: breakfast is expensive (7E).

Close to the Old Town

We booked at Limestone House, Dubrovnik which proved very difficult to find. Eventually seemed to locate it but were shuffled off a couple of 100 metres to another establishment and later told this was Limestone 1? There was no indication that this was Limestone House and there was another proprietor and therefore still don't know where we stayed. Room was tiny and disappointing very basic - no hot water in the shower. It cost 40 euros for the night but no receipt given. All very strange and not how you want to spend your first night in Croatia. One of us arrived late and was sent from pillar to post trying to find the changed accommodation. Family of proprietor when eventually located were very unhelpful when asked for the address. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Did I actually stay at Limestone House

Very nice, clean and in very good condition in a closed and quiet setting. Good address nearby because the promise of parking does not hold (2 or 3 seats for everyone), like the one with the sea view (a tree actually) and it makes an inexplicable humidity.
