Guesthouse Slovin Unique - Rastoke

We have just left this accommodation after spending 5 days on and off there. We used it as a base while we attended a festival 20km away.
The hotel is situated in a fairytale location, literally on top of waterfalls of every size in all directions. 
Rastoke is a must visit if you are travelling through Croatia and I definitely recommend spending at least a full day there. Even better would be to spend 24 hours there. And if you do decide to stay at least one night in that area then I would definitely recommend this property.
It is situated right amongst the waterways with beautiful nature all around you from the moment that you leave the door. The gardens around the guesthouse are extremely well kept with lots of interesting pieces of art made out of wood with fairy themes at every turn. Our room itself was fairly basic but of a good size and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also of a good size and the shower worked perfectly throughout our stay. It is very peaceful at night there with the only sound being the relaxing noise of the water. The staff were always super friendly and made us feel welcome.
If we ever stay in the area again, we would definitely stay here

Lovely, quiet guesthouse in a fairytale setting 

Stay away from Slovin Unique-Rastoke. We came for two days because of the beauty of the garden. The facility was dirty and full of dust, and the shower floor was moldy. One could smell the dust and the mold immediately upon entry. My asthmatic wife started to show symptoms of an allergic response; thus, we had to leave the place after one day. The owner showed no sympathy and was not embarrassed by the facility's state. She was just concerned with her payment and demanded payment for the two nights. She was aggressive and unpleasant. The stairs to the second floor (the living area), which are not shown in the picture, are dangerous and are more like a ladder. If you have to get up at night and go to the bathroom you are in a severe problem. In summary, it is neglected, dirty property managed by an incompetent person.

Stay away

It's a nice experience, it's a nice little room, and it's all very nice, there's a coffee maker, there's a tavern underneath the house, where you can have breakfast and dinner, very friendly staff, they give you a ticket to park at 50 meters.

Enchanted Place

Sleeping immersed in a park full of waterfalls, green, rivers and with water tumors was an out-of-town experience. The location where the structure is immersed is beautiful, a park that can be visited and which is already a prelude to the nearby Plitvice. I recommend this step before visiting the national park, about 30 minutes away. I don't give 5 because my double room with single beds was really cute...it's better for one night but not more. You can only have breakfast from 10 onwards. I also recommend having dinner at the petro restaurant....a 1 Min walk away where you can taste bear meat.

A magical place.

This room is in the center of paradise. Staying at this place surrounded by trickling water and beautiful sceneries of small waterfalls, caves and quaint old buildings. Amazingly well done.
The staff is really welcoming you.
Rooms are small but clean and cosy.
It was difficult to find and google certainly did not help.

It is a beautiful place, very peaceful. Gardens of the estate are magical.
Staff is very attentive. We are already discussing our next visit :)
We were there for one night only but if we new how amazing it was we would book it for longer. You can swimm in the river, it’s wonderful!

Great experience

Divine, magnificent nature, good food, but very meager menu. Unfortunately at every step one sees the negligence of the manager, and the disregard for the guests. But despite that, we will come back again because of the unique nature.

Beautiful nature but a careless manager

This place is really one of the kind - in fact it offers accommodation in the middle of a reconstructed old village with a water mill and other beautiful features. The surroundings are idyllic, despite many tourists. Accommodation is provided in little cottage and we stay in a 4 person apartment, which was well-furnished, clean and pleasant. There is also a restaurant but we never ate there. The rules are very rigid (someone else commented on this) and the check-in must be before 9pm. So generally, I would suggest to consider the place as a sleeping pad only, but a very nice one (not too cheap!). 
Best of all, 10 min away is a beautiful bathing area in the nearby river which an absolute must if you like wild swimming.

Ideal place if you want to stay in Rastoke-Slunj

Rastoke and slovin Unique are beautiful and peaceful places.
This Village is a patch of paradise but in this guesthouse apply rules rigid and strange: while we had dinner, they said us to live the table in 10 minutes because they were closing (at 21!!!). This morning the breakfast was from 9 o clock (to late if you want to make some tour!!

A nice place (with strange rules)

Stopped in for coffee and cake as we walked around Rastoke. Beautiful setting with rivers running on all sides. Our two boys ordered pancakes with chocolate, verdict-lovely, my wife and I had the apple strudel, verdict-beautiful. Coffees were a bit weak for our liking, but we soon topped them up with an extra espresso(sorted) waitress was very pleasant and service was quick, would recommend this restaurant and would eat here again. Everywhere was so clean and tidy, at no stage were we rushed.
