I work near the AMI penzion in University Campus. It is very good family hotel. Cheap, but clean and very kind owner and his family. Very good location near the city center, good parking in the street.

Short term business stay

Just returned from AMI pension. Absolutely fantastic location for those who seek quiet residential location with easy access to the city centre ( however if you have mobility issue you might want to take bus no. 25 instead of a tram as there’s quite steep stairs to the pension from the tram stop. The room we had ( mind you it was during moto gp) was not large ( the pension has larger rooms with private terrace )but it did us perfectly. There’s even mini fridge on the rooms which was very handy. The owner sells good range of bottled beverages ( alcohol and non alco) for very reasonable price ( nearest supermarket is on mendel’s square so bear it in mind when stocking up) and there’s very well equipped shared kitchen and seating area with free teas and coffees.

What stands out about our stay though is great hospitality and friendliness of the owners . Mr. Vitek and his father couldn’t do enough to help us with transports to the circuit , recommendations for restaurant and with everything we asked. We had small issue with our room that was dealt with in matter of seconds. This made our stay really memorable .

Great Moto GP long weekend

The guesthouse is very nice, the host is friendly, the room is large, the bathroom is huge, the cost of living is quite moderate, the only drawback is that the Wi-Fi is not working.

A cozy boarding house in a quiet area.

We didn't get a room at the Penzion in town, but rented an apartment in the south of Brno, since we had our 2,5-year-old with us. That was an excellent choice! Plenty of playgrounds, the buses here go virtually everywhere we needed (inludng straight to the Zoo!), and the facilities needed for a family are plentiful. The nearby restaurant (Brněnský šenk) also caters to families, including being non-smoking, having take away and using the bathrooms whenever needed.
