I booked this appartment for 2 kids/2 adults due to an early agreement in a nearby town the next morning. A large conference took place at Musholm at the same time but the host were still able to find some cosy activities for the kids. The rooms were perfectly equipped and we could easily cook our dinner. If you were disabled, you could try a lot of really great activities, but be aware that you need to book activities 2 weeks in advance. If I need a get-away with a disabled friend/familymember I would choose Musholm. But also for a stay like ours.

A warm welcome

We came here for a summer kid camp for disabled children. The location is fantastic with beautiful and fully-furnished and equipped apartments just above the beach. The fully accessible grounds connected by covered corridors have lots of activities for children and make for great place for games if the weather does not pan out. The beach is white sand, and the bay blocks much of the wind, so is mostly calm for bathing as well as longer swims. Short walk (10mins) to train and longer (20min) walk to town and nearest shopping. Buffet food was excellent, set menus could have more fresh vegetables, and alcohol was pricey (bring your own;).

Paradise for disabled kids and their tired parents

A family trip to Musholm. One of us in a wheelchair. Location is lovely, everything accessible and rooms big. The staff were friendly, but didn’t know what to do. One asks us to take drinks ourselves and other one says that’s forbidden. Staff doesn’t know what we will get as a dinner and says that dessert is vanilla ice cream. The dessert was coconut mousse with a LOT salt. In general the food was a disappointment breakfasts, lunch and dinners. If we come again, we will bring our own food. 

Great location, but cook yourself 

I booked this apartment for one night on my i-phone in a rush when our plans abruptly changed.   I did not realize we needed to rent linen and towels ($20 each pp.) until the confirmation showed on my iphone.  Since the booking was nonrefundable, we rented their towels and linen.  This is not a good choice if you do not have linen and towels with you.  Once we arrived, we realized we were able to make use of our own supplies and avoided renting bedding and towels.  However the bedding and towels were already on the bed.  My towels were separate from my linen and not in the plastic open ended bag.  My friend's towels were inside of the bag and she used one of her towels before realizing she didn't need to.  The agent still charged full price ($20) for the use of the one towel claiming the seal was broken.   Wow!  I think this was unfair, but there was nothing we could do,  I also think if I had told him my towels were not in my bag from the start, he might have charged us for both.   Other than this minor annoyance, the unit was wonderful.  The place was easy to find off the highway and very clean with all the necessary basics for a longer stay.  If arriving after 4:30pm you must let them know.  Room keys were placed in an envelope and inserted in a box with the code given to us by phone to open the locked box.   I believe the facility to be a wonderful place as our room was spacious, clean, and the view of the sea outstanding. Our unit held 4 twin beds in two separate rooms, a nice size living room and kitchen combo and large bathroom sans tub.   It is a handicapped facility so all accommodations are specially suited.  Lights came on where ever you walked in the building!  We arrived late in the evening so could not take advantage of our close proximity to the water, plus it was raining nonstop.   Check out is 10 am.  I could not tell if there was a beach as we could not explore much in the rainy weather.   I did notice an outdoor play area and a large plastic chess set outdoors. There is construction in progress on site, but it did not hamper us.  It's a perfect place begging  for a longer stay.  I  highly recommend Musholm Holiday Apartments even though it has a distinct medical facility atmosphere about it.  Waking up to that incredible sea view is worth it for the very reasonable price we paid.  When we tried booking the room a second night, the price was substantially more than we wanted to pay, and we opted to move on.   It would make a great family vacation spot!
