What an amazing family trip ! My 2 girls had so much fun at the Mini Club for my youngest and my eldest at the teen's club. My husband and I were able to enjoy the sport activities everyday and some relaxation without the kids. What an incredible sport team they have. Top notch Body pump classes with Estelle who would professionally correct our posture to avoid injuries and simply be more efficient. She was also very active in the shows etc...It was very nice to see her so passionate in everything she did at the village. I also took my first tennis lessons with Matthieu who despite his young age, showed maturity in teaching everyone his sport with fun and great energy. The front desk was amazing at accommodating our various demands. Nothing seemed impossible! On White color theme evening,  we celebrated my husband's birthday with a cake they customs made for us. White evening is the most festive evening....It was the perfect evening to celebrate a birthday with Ibiza vibe in Miches!  We were looking for relaxation, sun and fun and everyone in the family got what they wanted. Thank you Club Med and see you next time.

For the first time, after a long time, I have decided to write it a review about this amazing place in the Dominican Republic Club Med matches as we have arrived there all the crew was very friendly, all the variety of activities from cooking lessons to amazing sports, the food is something to write mama about.  

The Dominican people are very warm hearted, and they make you really feel at home. We met the chief of the village, Mr. Patrizio, who was very kind, funny, integrated in all activities at the club, making sure all the guests are feeling good and making possible a wonderful vacation. 

The food is something amazing, barbecues, variety, quality but specially tasty. Fruits, sea food, all you could imagine is right there. 

We have stayed at a Villa  in front of the beach with a private pool, which was heaven on earth ; waking up every morning with the sound of the waves of the sea was unforgettable. 
I have been in many Club Med all around the world but after I visited Miches,  this is my favorite club of all of them. 
Thank you all of you Club Med crew for making our vacation unforgettable.

Heaven on Earth in Miches

We decided to vacation at Club Med Miches this year after having a wonderful experience at their PC location last April. Overall, we LOVED Miches. The food, beach and facilities far exceed PC. The feeling of being secluded, surrounded by miles of untouched beautiful beaches made it easy for us to unplug and relax. Being parents to a high spirited toddler, the biggest draw to the club med resorts is the kids club. Our first two days at Miches we were disappointed with the kids club. Staff was unfriendly and unapproachable. However, we are happy to say that after providing feedback to our concierge and the kids club manager (who graciously accepted our feedback ), our satisfaction with the kids club improved and ended up being such a positive experience that will keep us coming back. 

Our daughter enjoyed the kids shows every night, and being that this resort was smaller, the performers encouraged participation from the audience which made it very special and memorable. 

Housekeeping was consistent and efficient. Our daughter loved checking the snack tray everyday. She ate her body weight in Oreos during our stay.

We enjoyed the coffee shop that's close to the pool for snacks and coffee in between meals. The lunch time parties at the beach and coco plum served delicious and authentic dishes. We ate at the cayuco restaurant every night and we were never disappointed. They always served pizza, chicken nuggets and fries which pleased our daughter. The chefs take a lot of pride in the food they produce and it shows in the presentation and flavor. Wait staff at cayuco was incredibly attentive. Our daughter's only complaint from the entire trip was that they didn't have rainbow sprinkles at the ice cream station 😃

Water filter stations are located throughout the resort which was nice to have quick access to.

The main pool- you will need to get there early if you want a chair. Some People leave after lunch so if you miss getting a chair in the AM, that'll be your chance. We never had a problem getting chairs on the beach. 

We stayed in a la Perla suite and really enjoyed having extra living space, quick beach access and having the attentiveness from our concierge. (Rita and Alice) Also the la Perla pool was a nice break from the busy main pool.

Fitness center is well equipped but small. We found that the guests at this resort love to workout while on vacation as the room was consistently crowded. I tried the glutes/abs class and found it to be challenging enough.

We used the laundry service twice during our stay and found it affordable and convenient. Both self service laundry rooms were out of order when we were there.

Our daughter had an allergic reaction to sunscreen so we had to make two visits to the infirmary. Rest assured if you happen to experience an illness while at the resort that they will take amazing care of you as they did with our daughter. 

There was live music every night at the cayuco bar which we enjoyed  before dinner. Great way to start the evening.

Sunset ritual on Wednesdays is an event not to be missed. Good music and vibes and a sun sandcastle contest!

Transfers to and from the resort were seamless. We did not find the 90 minute ride to Miches to be an issue, even after a long day of traveling with a toddler so do not let it deter you from choosing this resort. However we did find that departing from the PC airport to be absolutely chaotic. (Obviously not by fault of club med, but prepare yourself for long lines, crowds and chaos)

Truly this resort is something special and will not disappoint you. It's luxurious without pretentiousness.  We made lasting memories as a family and we are excited to return ! Thank you, Club Med !

A lovely family spring break trip

I recently had a really great week here with my 9 year old.

Overall the grounds and rooms were much nicer and higher-end than I had been expecting, having visited several other sun destination Club Meds in the past. The grounds are generally spotless - staff are constantly cleaning and picking up after guests. Our room in the Caribbean Village was spacious and inviting. Housekeeping for the most part was very good. Though some services like turndown were erratic our room was always well cleaned and stocked.

The beach and pools again were nicer than I expected - nothing ever felt crowded although it was often impossible to find lounge chairs anywhere after 8am until people started to clear out mid afternoon. We did lots of kayaking and paddle boarding - never an issue getting that equipment. The beach is great for walking.

Food and beverages were of a high standard and service was mostly very good. We did the main restaurant mostly, with a few meals at Coco Plum on the beach and one at Coal and Copper. 

At the main restaurant, though the food was good (almost too much choice!) the service at the main restaurant is hit and miss. There are some seating areas that have great service and others where it is impossible to find a clean table or to get wine (draft beer is self serve but wine is not). The green plant decorated room off to the side of the main restaurant in particular suffered from inattentive staff and dirty tables.

A dinner at Coal and Copper was a real highlight. The food (steaks) were perfectly cooked as ordered and the service (from Victor and Pier Ann) was absolutely top notch. Although it costs extra it was definitely worthwhile and we also purchased a special wine for the occasion which was served to us first at the bar downstairs and then brought up to our table to be waiting for us. A nice touch.

The 9 year old was a bit disappointed in the kids club. The age range is 4 to 10 and thus caters to the little ones more than the older ones. The days are also quite repetitive. We ended up doing 2 half days and then abandoning ship, though the resort is small enough that at 9 or 10 they can wander a bit on their own and you don't worry about them.

Yoga with Magali in the palapa was a treat each day. She is a wonderful instructor with a lovely manner who instilled the 9 year old with a yen for more yoga after we got home. 

The spa is small but luxurious, with the hot and cold plunges (including a great hot tub) hidden away for spa users only. I inadvertently snuck into the Hammam and only afterwards noticed you are supposed to make an appointment for it but it was hot and steamy. A massage with Agung was one of the best of my life. Don't miss him!

I ended up having to change some travel arrangements and received lots of help, including from Jonattham, who took care of everything with a smile.

All the activites at the teen and kids club where so fun thanks to the G.O’s: Ian and Talha . The beach was very fun(paddle board,windsurf,kayak,snorkeling,etc).The food and drink service was very quick and efficient. Everyone was so kind and helpful.
