We spent one night in this lodging, which has a main house, in which are the common services (kitchen, shower, living room) and several cottages for sleeping, all in the middle of a forest of huge centenary trees, next to a small stream. One of the cottages, in the center, is a sauna with spirits. To us, who were three, was assigned the smaller cottage (called Majake, casita in Estonian), next to the stream, which has two bedrooms downstairs and two others on the upper floor. The place is an authentic haven of peace. Clean, very carefully and built exactly in the traditional way. I want to emphasize the exquisite attention of Anna Liisa, the owner of the establishment that, although not the place we wanted to advise that the old house and when the old house was in the forest, we also wanted to reconcile all of her sensitivities with the natural environment.

Fantastic mix of ecotourism and eco-tourism.

The hostel has four (double) rooms in the main building on the ground floor, a cozy living room, a kitchen and a bathroom/WC. On the first floor there are a few more rooms. In addition, there is a cabin that can be booked. The hostel is beautifully located, right on a walking path, in the forest. However, the nearest place (Vosū) is well 20-30 minutes away by car, with a main road running along a country road. The family that runs the hostel also lives right next to the hostel and the hut in another one.

A good hostel to discover Laheema!

We stayed in a cottage with 2 couples. Therefore can't comment much about the hostel rooms in the main house, but the cottage was really nice. The facilities like shower and kitchen were still in the main house, but it was a 50 meter walk and this was no problem. It was in the middle of the forest, right next to the nature trail, so exactly what we were looking for - a getaway from the city.

Nice renovated economy stay in beautiful Lahemaa national park

A wooden house a little far from the centre of Vosu but well connected to the trails within the forest, including some of the most famous trails such as those of ancient Oandu. The owner, a very courteous and friendly lady, allows you to rent bicycles at much lower prices than the village retailers. The structure is delicious, traditional and clean, I stayed in a very nice sign room, with everything necessary. The impression was excellent, I didn't put 5 stars just because I stayed only one night, so I have nothing to spare.

Staying in the Forest

The guesthouse is pleasant and provides probably the cheapest private rooms in the NP, including single rooms. The kitchen and common room is also good. The owners are welcoming. The breakfast was also good. It is inside the forest. There is an hiking trail just behind to Altja and Sagadi.
BUT
If you have no car it is a 20 minutes walk mostly along the main road from Visu 
Kasmu and Altja are much nicer villages than Visu (beware however those two villages have no shop at all) 
Doors and stairs are noisy, and most other guests came back and went to bed way after midnight
There are hungry mosquitoes in the yard and the forest around (but not inside)

Pleasant, cheap but not everything is positive

positiv:
+ really good complete breakfast by the land lord (especially the homemade cake)
+ good starting point for trips through the national park
+ nice common room with kitchen

negativ:
- beds were ok, but could be better
