We had a lovely quiet stay in this beautiful part of France.  Rossillonie is an eclectic mixture of rooms and cottages all, of which have character and charm in a lovely quiet setting off the 'beaten track'. The cottage we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bed. Breakfast had a good variety of good quality produce. The breakfast table is shared by other guests and attended to by one of the hosts, which made for an enjoyable start to the day.
The village, situated on the river, is charming, as is the surrounding area and boasts a couple of good restaurants.  To drive down to the village takes about 5 minutes. If walked you're looking at about 30 minutes. Longer after a meal and wine!

Peaceful and in a beautiful area.

Very disappointed with the stay, we arrived at the place without a sign to indicate the reception, no reception, such number on the wrong booking impossible to reach the person, we waited 20 minutes, finally it was with the arrival of another person that we managed to reach the people. We got the directions by phone.

I strongly discourage, no welcome, no signage, no phone number information on the incorrect booking, saved by another customer but still no one to receive instructions given to us by phone,!!! the room does not match the description, toilet and bathroom tiny, household very approximate, tired wool blanket on the beds, wifi non-existent; pool with some leaf still passes, but visibly not maintained; very pleasant setting but does not compensate for the rest, good breakfast, for the price is not at all suitable for the quality of accommodation; great disappointment

We were warned that we would not have breakfast due to staff problems 2 days before we arrived. We decided to leave early because pesticide smells (sepsis pit no doubt) made the stay impossible. We got a call from one of the employees at our departure who understood very well and was sorry but no call from the employer, MME Rossillon and it has been a week since we have been back and no refund for lunch or for the unpaid and not a single word of apology.

Shame on you!

No online availability check, mandatory call... but for the last two days I've been trying, I've been getting a Hello, all our agents are currently unavailable... you'd think the Orange SAV!

Reservation is not possible

Very disappointing. Exorbitant price (259€ a night) for a poor service. They play on appearance and it's shameful. It's a sweat of false kindness. The exterior and photos are beautiful but it's not a guest house, it's an empty shell: beautiful outside but soulless: The owners aren't there and you'll never see them.

A beautiful setting, splendid nature, warm welcome, a heated pool, what more can I say... a privileged and yes very important moment a French breakfast of ouf! Viennese, fresh bread, country cheese, fruit juice, generosity, excellent coffee.

That's very good.

It's not really a guest room (the guests are employees who prepare breakfast and cash the checks). The place is atypical and well located, breakfast is right, and it's fun to stick your head in the pool with a panoramic view. However, the room we have didn't match the booking, nor the price of the other place!

Curiosity

Very nice hostel. Nestled in the middle of nature, in the middle of greenery, with breathtaking views. We spent three days in the week of August 15. Possibility to store our own food in a freezer at our disposal. Breakfast is served until late for the sleeping. With fresh and regional products: a treat before going for a walk! The person who welcomed us, advised us, gave us good plans, price still a little high, summer period compels, I think! small negative point, a little old-fashioned room!

Stay in the Dordogne

Bad experience concerning us... Reservation made for a family stay in August 2018 by email exchange and phone call in November 2017. Contact made with Aurore who guarantees us the reservation by phone, I am surprised that no bail payments are made, but she explains to me that people settle on the spot. I put an email in February 2018 informing that our dates were ok, email that was not planned since the reservation was confirmed by the person managing the reservations and resumed the issue of the bail. I receive an email informing me that the owners have changed their summer plans and that the property will be reserved for their family. When we all arrived on the day after arrival with email and 2 children in the car, email that was not suitable, email that was not intended since the reservation was confirmed by the person managing the reservations and resumed the issue of the bail.
