Arrived to front fence half fallen down signes in the building hanging off and a very unkept garden and carpark. We checked in for three nights and were given a grubby smokers room (11) with the loo broken and the bathroom full of mold. We were given another room (no appology) This time room 4, again smelt of smoke as did the pillows. The room was larger and had been decorated at least once in the last decade. It was howevery dirty, The carpet had the same bits on it when we left asa it did when we arrived. The net curtains were well past white and had more of a charcole yellow mist look. The basin , we latter discovered was blocked but at least they fixed this dueing the day. (we would have moved had we been able to find a hotel in the same area that was not fully booked). I wonder when the last pat test was dont on this hotel and when they last did a legonaires test and clean. We did try breakfast the first day but the coffee was cold (9am) the pastries were left over from the day before, even though there is a very good bakers across from the hotel. We decided to leave after the second night and had to move out of the area. Each night when we came back , i checked to see if the fire doors that were propped open were ever closed at night and I discovered they were not!  To call this a tourist hotel is frankly an affront to the very professional French tourism industry.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in!

One or two nights, broken bathroom door, dirty shower curtain and the top of the top is that we didn't get any hot water during our stay.

Very disappointed...

When I got to the hotel reception, my key was left in a basket with a piece of paper written on it. My name and my room number, I went up to the room. Surprisingly, I came down to the room below. And there was no one to turn to after about an hour.

A nightmare week

We discovered this hotel on the occasion of a one-night stay in Champagne. The hotel is comfortable and has a good price ratio. The restaurant offers the right dishes and menus. The staff in the room do not know the dishes and do not know how to detail them. The hotel, the restaurant and the surrounding areas (parking, children's playground, terraces,...) would require maintenance and refreshment work. We were surprised that the Covid-19 health insurance coverage is not applied in this establishment. We were never claimed by the hotel or the staff. Moreover, the restaurant's front door in the evening with the customer does not wear a mask.

Comfortable step hotel and proper restaurant

This time we booked a table for a dinner. Indeed, it was full and mostly by locals plus few tables with tourists. Good menu and very good local food. Everything, we ordered, was tasty, incl kids food. We did not expect something special from a very local restaurant, but we will probably go back on our next champagne trip.

We discovered this place through the gourmet passport. We were pleasantly surprised by the charming staff and the quality food. The setting is quiet.

Pleasantly surprised

A rustic, family hostel, but the rooms are being renovated. A hostel that can accommodate groups of 50 people. Breakfast and meals are good and cozy. The boss immediately intervened on a toilet leak and our friends were placed in another room. Despite his disability (blind vision), the boss takes care of everything. Super.

We bikers

I went there for the first time in 2003. Since then, I've been back several times and I've always found myself decent. This living room, on the other hand, was horrible. Except for the very little warmth of the staff. A unique dislike. I had a room where to go to the bathroom I had to keep the door open so it was so small.

The hotel has a very clean, pleasant room. The bathroom is very small but functional. Dinner at a very decent restaurant. Friendly reception both at the hotel and at the restaurant. The hotel is located very close to Epernay, at the foot of the hills. Charming villages.

Good stop.

We had won a lottery dinner and we didn't know this place. We had a nice evening. The menu was very good. The entrance was quite original, but we enjoyed it. The tartar steak was excellent. The service was perfect. I highly recommend it and we'll be back.
