Well equipped villa in a lovely location.  We spent a lot of time by the pool as the weather was so hot.  Issue with the water which was boiling hot and quite dangerous for children when using the showers.  

Great villa

Especially if you are looking for tranquility, this mason is mid-life and its terrace is only a few (hundreds) meters away from the house and the nearby swimming pool.

Maison  the buffalo  to avoid

We took a 3 night break over Christmas to visit family who lived locally to Chalais. We wanted the flexibility of our own kitchen and two bathrooms and a comfortable place to relax. This property was a great find for us. Although very quiet due to the season, the staff were so friendly and helpful, very clean and welcoming, they even provided a Christmas tree. Each house has a small swimming pool and terrace and great views of the surrounding area. Very secure for families and within easy driving distance of the town for any shopping. A car is essential. We will return to this property in the summer to make full use of the superb location and excellent facilities.

Wonderful spot

First experience for those of us who are used to going to hotels. We really needed calm, it wasn't always the case but we don't question the area but people who don't respect the neighbors:(. As for the area whether it's the staff or the place, everything was magical. Even the temporary lack of Wi-Fi didn't bother us. The card games and the like were out.

A full payment

We stayed at the estate for the second time. Last year we were in Tilleul, this year in Frêne. Although the weather was not great in the first days, it gave us the opportunity to visit Bordeaux and St Emilion. Last year we also visited Aubeterre-sur-Dronne which is absolutely charming. The villas are lovely and having its private terrace is one of the reasons we came back. What is old, but it may also be out of time, is that the swimming pool is not heated. So we hardly enjoyed it. The double bed is narrow, especially for two large people accustomed to a bed of 180 meters wide, which is quite another, but the villa is well equipped.

It's a great place to relax.

A beautiful place, with all the luxury possible...beautiful and large villa four bedrooms and three sdb...private pool and another common, tennis courts and equipment on loan, ping pong, children's trampoline, swing, quiet, private laundry with washing machine and dry laundry...only a small bemool for the TV not easy to use with its satellite and dishwasher a little whimsical.

A week in heaven... too short!

It's actually an old hamlet where you can still see part of the enclosure wall at the entrance. The reception and contact is very warm, pleasant and personalized. The houses are impeccable and have a private swimming pool. Only the bemool, the size of the double beds (1.40m). Even if we are in France, it's a shame in a residence of this quality. And personally, I didn't expect it (it's one of my booking criteria). For the towns, this is a very capricious connection and TV because it's via satellite.

Very pleasant little area and warm welcome

We spend one week in the villa charme .
The property is beautifull , we have a baby of 19 months and we rented the baby set , a bed and chair ,
The house is very Well equiped , with A private pool , the water was too could too swim in it but there is a common pool Heated ( temperature was a bit higher but still not warm)
For the kids there is enough to play , big trampoline and other Things 
There are 2 tennis courts and Ping Pong 
Well maintained
The staff is very friendly 
You can order Bread or croissants every day
The atmosphere is very Nice 
Every house has a big garden 
Market of chalais On monday is great !! 
There is as Well a interMarche weer you can do the shopping 
You have to drive Some distance If you want to see something 
They offer wifi for 20 euro per week 

Only "negative" is the very small double beds and the oldfashioned blanket to sleep

We are going back next year :)))

Peacefull and beautifull

We have privatized the Grand Tourter estate for a corporate event, where we received a very warm welcome from Helen, the manager of the estate. A very efficient team and always listening to the customer. I highly recommend the estate, a real haven of peace with high-end services.

Beautiful location next to a lovely french town. Great houses with excellent facilities, pool, gym, restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything is maintained to the highest possibe standards. A great choice of restaurants and local conveniences nearby in Chalais. Could not be better!
