The Kaolin restaurant is excellent, the Onglet de boeuf superb, service excellent. English is spoken and there are good vegetarian options. Very clean and in a great setting. We take people there whenever we have visitors, the plat de jour is very good value.  Access is good for the bar and restaurant, electric wheelchair of 28” can fit through entrance to restaurant. Large terrace with shade and sun so choose where is best for you.

An old but clean and charming hotel at the foot of the castle with a fine dining restaurant with amazing dishes a classic breakfast with very good bread a friendly and pleasant team

The charm of an ancient hotel

A 'little vintage' room but good price ratio. Very good location with castle view and very pleasant reception for owners who know the history of the castle.

We booked a night online and ended up staying 10 nights, the couple who run it are the best laugh ever, madame can speak very good english but no one else can so its a very good for practice,
food was stunning and service second to none.
price was amazing and as cheap as a cheap motel with the added bonus of a garden with a backdrop to die for to ourselves.
100% stay again a real french gem, if you want 5 star look elsewhere but if you want fawlty towers crossed with allo allo and a gastro experience thrown in stay here.

what a find and what a lovely stay

We loved the place.  It's a throwback in time almost and definitely reminded me of the great British series,  'Allo 'Allo.   It could have been filmed there for sure.  Coussac Bonneval is adorable and it was a pleasure to stay there.  We had a choice of a few hotels in the immediate area.  One ( that looked similar from the outside  and was modern, lovely inside, )  cost an average 300 euros per night.  It's lovely,  but the Hotel des Voyageurs cost a mere 45 euros per night (£40 for a double room)   Sign me up. We didn't have dinner there but the Continental breakfast was fine,  at just 6 euros each.  Immediately out of our French windows at the back was the impressive Chateau,  just a stones throw away and at the front.a beautiful Norman church. I genuinely expected to see Rene' Artois and Mimi Labonq on the stairs ! The real owners and staff were very polite and welcoming.  If you want the luxury,  go for the more expensive options elsewhere.  If you want to go back in time in an adorable old worldy French hotel,  please give the Hotel des Voyageurs a try.

If you loved 'Allo 'Allo,  come on in,  the waters lovely

The very old rooms with carpet on the floor and on the walls, the limestone in the toilets there are some. This must not be detracted often! The rooms that overlook the park, park not maintained have dog droppings. I no longer recommend this establishment

We went to Coussac because we knew the 1980s1995 very good memory, but here very ordinary welcome

I'd start with this positive note, practically the best quality ratio in the neighborhood, except here, it's old...mock-up on the wall, grey-green all over the bathroom, simple glazing and cold night but good as the boss would say it's season...certain...but when are we going to make a real hotel in France worthy of that name.

Old hotel.

For the restaurant of a 2-star hotel, it is not bad at all. The menu at 28€ is very good and balanced. 4 services, good price/quality ratio. The service is friendly and it is easy to park your car on the plc in front of the castle.

It's not bad.

We slept in a room for 4 people with two double beds, both offering a very good quality sleep. Complete toilets with separate toilet. A very quiet room that allowed us to reconcile a repairing sleep. We paid 51€ for the room, breakfast apart, 6.5€ per person, which because of the quality of the ingredients made us also cheap. A very nice place above the restaurant Le Kaolin to which I recommend both the meal and the stay.

Excellent relationship quality and price!

We booked in this hotel because we needed a place to sleep near the farm of La Tournerie in Coussac-Bonneval. The hotel is ideally located in the center of the village, but it is rather old and it's a shame because each room offers a stunning view of the castle of Bonneval and gives access to a small garden (through a window). The staff is not hyper friendly and the spring mattress left us a lot of pain in the back. It's very complicated to make a phone call or send emails because there is no network and the wifi is only accessible at the end of the chalet of the rooms!
