We spent a week at Monique's guest room. The reception was very friendly. The rooms were impeccably clean. We also had dinner at their guest table: excellent refined cuisine with good household products in general. The room price was very right. We discovered a very rich area (Lake of Der and its ornithological observatory, mettalurgic parker, absolutely worth visiting). Nancy, Langres, Troyes. We finished our refurbished holiday, full of souvenirs for the return. We thank them for their hospitality and kindness. Dominique and Daniel Maitre

Accommodation and guest rooms without fault

We stayed there with our daughter on July 14th. An address to remember! We keep her warm for future trips to the area. Very warm welcome, superb rooms and sdb and bedding and top! Which is not the case everywhere! Breakfast is a real treat! Varied and with delicious homemade jams.... For us a brief glimpse of the Ardennes Champagne that makes us want to return to the area! Thank you to Monique and her husband for their warm welcome! Our daughter loved your house, your garden, your cats, your dogs and your dogs (which she could see in their enclosures)!:-) David, Charline and Audrey (north of Wattrelos)

We were eight with our dogs, Monique booked us a great welcome even in advance because of the match of France. Everything is perfect cleanliness the comfort of the rooms kindness and availability of the guests. And the evening meal on the terrace is perfectly cozy and very good. And the village with its laundry and these very beautiful watercourses as well as the area deserves to stay there for several days Thank you Monique (we will return) Les Chtis (with their dogs)

Exceptional

Monique welcomed us very well when we arrived. She visited places and a welcome pot offered. The spacious rooms with all the comforts. We enjoyed the calmness of the countryside. When we had a really good meal and it was made with the products of the house.

A Guest House Worth Visiting

Stayed 2 nights at this lovely b & b in the centre of the village. Quiet position with comfortable rooms and views over garden and beautiful scenery. Clean and excellent facilities. We had the continental breakfast and an evening meal which was wholesome, filling and delicious. Monique who runs the establishment was welcoming and friendly and always on hand to meets our needs. She also speaks good English. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommended. 

Excellent B & B

Very pleasant and quiet quality accommodation. Very complete breakfasts. 1 single meal taken at Monique's: excellent for a very reasonable price. Monique and François are very dedicated and very spontaneous to help and service. We felt at home immediately.

Excellent stay, general opinion of the group of 5 fishermen

I tried to write this review last year but the establishment was unknown to TripAdvisor at the time. I turned up with my 12yo son on Bastille Day and learned that the town was smaller than I imagined and there was nowhere to buy dinner. Monique graciously cooked a magnificent meal for us and a friend we were travelling with despite having a dinner party of her own planned. Her husband kept us company and provided wine (nowhere for me to buy any) and a couple they knew joined us and made us feel most welcome. Thanks to Google translate we were able to converse a little. The town is beautiful, the house is so rustic and the hosts were better than I could have hoped. Thank you again, Monique.

Monique was the highlight.

Warm welcome from Monique and Francois, sat in garden and read my book until the evening meal prepared by Monique. Aperitif made by Francois and our one night stay was like visiting friends. Lovely to sit chatting with Monique and Francois in their garden overlooking the open countryside. A very pleasant stay. On our list for future visits.

Warm, friendly, good accommodation and excellent food and drink!

Every so often you come across a new place which is an absolute delight - I had booked but had inadvertently done so for the day before we were actually due to arrive. However Monique's response was "pas de probleme" and was delighted to take us in as the room was empty. Having arrived on a Sunday night we asked about local restaurants, but unfortunately everything local was closed. Monique was kind enough to offer to make us something even though I don't think she  normally offers anything apart from breakfast. Our Room, the Orange Room was lovely, and for the money extremely reasonable. Breakfast was outstanding, with a huge collection of home made and locally sourced ingredients. We really enjoyed our stay, and hope to return for a longer visit.
