A large room in good condition, proper sanitation, a five-euro lunch for a coffee and a piece of bread, a cold and impersonal welcome, the owner must not be a businessman and ignore the rules of the reception, impose his political views with aggression and contempt for others who would not vote like him!

That's disappointing.

Our worst step on the Way!!! Spacious but very aging room... the bathroom and the bathroom have to be rebuilt. Nothing to do with the photos posted... the dust in the room, on the stairs... no toiletries: it's a guest house and not a hotel!!! You can arrive at 1:00 but since it's the full boom in the restaurant... to avoid.

Stage of the compost route

While on vacation with friends and disappointed the day before at another restaurant by the quality of the fries we ordered a dish with fries as a filling. We drew the attention of the waitress of our demand on the quality of the fries we ordered. And when she served us it was a disappointment. Increased disappointment by the fact that at the table of the neighbouring guests seemingly correct fries were served! We called our waitress to show her the obvious difference between the two fries. She told us that she would have refused this dish even if we had given her! The chef's reply was not to us to change us these fries: it's a basket basket, it happens. In the restaurant I complained to the boss who told me that his friends didn't come out to eat with his guests.

Oh, my fries are good!

True/false setting. Many failures and a nice confusion between hotel and guest room. Cantche breakfast. My wife didn't have breakfast and I was refused to deduce it on the grounds that if you had said it earlier I wouldn't have been to the bakery!!! It's also a restaurant where the local red half is counted 12 euros. I report to the DDPP for all missing items.

Beyond Disappointment

1 night for work Very large and austere room, contrasting with modern sdb Dining in the very good restaurant, very pleasant space. Do not take PDJ. 5€ ridiculous (1 piece of bread, butter and jam) while next to it there is a very good bakery... Stage (dinner + night) about 90€, correct

It's a very good restaurant.

We already knew the hotel we liked. But the management has, alas! changed. The price posted on the internet for the room François 1er was 45 E at night. We stayed two nights at 60 E at night! (without a bed made or housekeeping since it became a guest room) plus breakfast: a piece of cane, not two! and a coffee (despite the croissants on the counter) with expired butter of a month (all on my request for kitchen butter, the same expired butter was served the next day to other customers).

We already knew the hotel, but unfortunately the direction has changed.

Lovely old building.   Spacious room.   Friendly staff.   Very patient with our lack of French.   Restaurant reasonably priced and food good.   Ok breakfast for 5 euro.   Reasonably priced.  Good overnight stop on the GR65.
Sensor light in the toilet can go off if you are in there for any length of time.   Our room must have been above where they keep the rubbish bins and we were woken very early by what sounded like the garbage collection truck and EXTREMELY noisy.

Unchanging...dust...degraded...dusty staircase..run the worst step on Compostelle Nothing from a guest room, the PMU bar in the morning for breakfast Go to the other Hotel Henri 4 that we have recommended to a group of walkers for next year and in addition very dear

Don't be afraid of the dust

The Cafe de France is a hotel, a cafe and a restaurant set in a very old building but refurbished..  We booked online for a night in the hotel and it was an experience. Greeted by (presumably) a partner of the business who seemed to think he would be happier doing something else. Could be wrong but we think the business was operated by two couples and only one fellow was so off-hand. I guessed he might have been a retired rugby player....Now passed his game and unsuited for hospitality. We tried the cafe passing fair and the restaurant was all dressed-up but apparently not used. When our room was eventually ready for us we were greatly surprised ...four poster bed in a huge room overlooking the town square, quite comfortable and we slept well. This quaint if not charming establishment could be so much better... simple attitudinal adjustment would help.

Could be so much better

We are motorcyclists and we stopped at this cafe and went to the Lot to drink a coffee with croissant and chocolate bread, which are excellent, and we talked to the very friendly boss. On our return from our trip we stopped on Tuesday 15 August 2017 for lunch.
