We chose Le coin des artistes as the former grocery where Claude Monet used to shop expecting it would be a charming place. The location is very good and walking distance from the Maison et Jardins de Claude Monet. The owners, a chinese couple are doing a very good job at ensuring you are happy. However the property is tacky and in needs of refurbishment. It's a shame as it is not in keeping with the overall feel of Giverny village where refinement prevails.

Not the character we expected

The guest room is very nice to stay in. The room was very clean and very simple. There is a parking lot in front of the guest room and it's very convenient. It's very quiet, we didn't hear anything. I recommend the address.

All right, all right.

The pastel room is a parental suite in a quiet little garden house, small private terrace, our hostels are friendly and discreet, good breakfast served in a beautifully decorated room!

relaxation stay

The room was quite large and pretty, although it had a window that looked out onto the main road, it was not at all noisy (even because Giverny is only populated from about 10 to 18). There was no air conditioning but we had a ventilator available that we did not use although we stayed in August.

Few claims

The building is located in Giverny's pedestrian area, but only a few steps from the parking lot on the street, very close to both Monet's House-Garden and the Impressionism Museum.

A colorful corner

2 days, 2 nights. Located at the entrance of the village, this guest house has 5 bedrooms. Each with a theme reminiscent of where we are. We slept in the Impressionist room. A beautiful room with a bathroom overlooking the countryside. The bedding is good. We are offered a breakfast, coffee, chocolate, growing fruit bread... all on average 7.50.

Simple and practical

My sister and I had a lovely 2 night stay. A quaint building and courtyard. Wonderful hosts who went out of their way to help us with food after finding out the restaurants were all fully booked. 
Comfortable beds, large bathroom, good linens, electric kettle and tea bags, and good wifi. 
The simple breakfast which was optional for a small fee was fresh and quickly served. 
So nice to be able to stroll the village and leisurely enjoy the Monet gardens. Nice cafe options for day and early evenings.

Lovely B&B in Giverny.

Although located close to Monet’s garden which was convenient, this accommodation wasn’t really what we expected.  Parking on street was easy, the bed was comfy, but numerous other bad points (towel rail fell off wall when used, hair found in the bed, plug in basin stuck closed) mean we cannot recommend it.

Cannot recommend

We just wanted to grab a drink, but everywhere was just a long waiting line or bar and cafe closed, on this Sunday, May 1. Near the church we saw this little snack, we entered, greeted by people of great kindness. We went into a small but very nice backyard, where we took a break before a good cheap coffee and a portion of a great lemon cake. We will come back there to taste our snack, away from the snack that catches tourists.

A little corner of paradise

The location near Monet's house was perfect for us.  It was easy to walk to Monet's home and to a couple of local restaurants. On the down side, the rooms and furnishings are dated and the mattress was sagging a little. The pillows were lumpy and hard. On the plus side, the room was large and comfortable. There was a hot water pot and a selection of tea which was nice. The bathroom was clean. The shower was the best and most spacious of the five hotels that I stayed in during my French holiday.
