What a great experience the Pintray is!  From a wonderful host (Ann!) to the wine tasting by Jean Christophe, we could not have been welcomed warmer.  The rooms are HUGE, the Chateau is very charming, and wait until you see the breakfast table.  I want to go back just to stay here for a week.  Thank you so much for having us.

The absolute best!

Our family (7 of us) went to Chateau de Pintray. We couldn't have had a better experience. The property is lovely and the vineyards are beautiful. We were charmed by our hostess Anne. Loved, loved, loved it!!!!  There was a large family room that we took over at night, brought in charcuterie and enjoyed the Chateau's excellent wine. We enjoyed meeting a Swedish couple (Axel and Clara) who were also staying on their honeymoon and celebrated with them for 2 nights. Beds were comfortable. As in all places outside American hotels, there is no air conditioning but it cools off at night. Breakfast was fresh croissants, fruit, ham, cheese, yogurt, tea and coffee. Could not make a better recommendation for this Chateau. No elevator so book your room on the appropriate floor.

We had a very pleasant and, above all, very quiet room, everything was prepared for the reception of our bicycles.

A Place of Peace

Historic structure very well maintained spacious rooms with antique furnishings clean environments friendly and available owners rich and well-served breakfast it feels like it's in the family.

Tour with friends

Very welcome and the castle's wines are very good, the region is definitely to see with family or friends - you will not be disappointed and can enjoy the charm of the castle and the many tours to do in the surroundings and the very peaceful banks of the Loire.

The 'Pintray' is to be dipped

A sweet winery just outside Amboise. It got a little old and not everything up to date, but it was all clean and we felt very comfortable. The hospitality was very good, the breakfast was French (without cheese and sausage) and very delicious. We had two large bedrooms with bathroom and toilet for 2 adults and 2 children. We could use a large living room, the pool table and table plates outside.

A sweet vineyard that's been around for years.

We really enjoyed our stop at Pinteray Castle. The welcome from the owners was very warm. It felt like home. The decor resembles the old mansions and plunges us into the world of these Loire shores. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice. The breakfast was friendly and cozy. The table was neat. I highly recommend it. Thank you for this enchanting parenthesis.

Traditional French chateau stay, hosted by the family who run the vineyard and you can do a tasting. The chateau has been passed down through generations and you can read and talk to them about the history.
There is a lovely shares lounge and terrace you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine with other guests or friends you are travelling with.
Amboise is a short drive away for all the restaurants and attractions

Welcoming traditional chateau

Thank you to the perfect guests of this beautiful family home. We spent 2 nights, very quiet (no noise except a pheasant) in the middle of the vineyards. Very beautiful trees give a bit of coolness in the heat. Having come with 2 big teenagers, we had a real comfortable apartment. A dream lunch with croissants and fresh bread, homemade jams, a delight. A big thank you to our warm hostess who takes her time to chat with us and give us some good pipes. We greatly appreciated her natural kindness. The location is ideal for visits to the Loire castles, minutes from Amboise. Thank you for this stay.

It's a nice stop near Amboise.

Very friendly and helpful owners. The old one is still well maintained. Little attention to the guests. Incredible tranquility. Well centered, while in the countryside, and therefore quiet. You feel at home quickly. Nice breakfast. The wifi connection can be improved in the room. A shower curtain would not be useless (it would not, however, be a foot bath in the back of the house). Some people will regret not having a TV in the room. Not me in view of the general atmosphere of the house.
