Almost non-existent WiFi, horrible fries smells in the bathroom at lunchtime coming from the bathroom, hole in the radio wall in the dining room, near a street with no traffic, so hard to open the window because of the noise.

Cycling along the Burgundy Canal, services at this small hotel were excellent, the managers were taking little care of us, quality restaurant, bike parking near Abbey a big thank you

Excellent family hotel.

The reason to stay here is its location in the village closest to the magnificent Abbaye de Fontenay.  Far more options are available slightly further afield in Montbard.  While "welcome" would be a strong word to describe Monsieur's reaction to your arrival, Madame thaws out nicely as she presides over meals in the downstairs restaurant.  We had an unexpectedly good foie gras and magret de canard with a drinkable house wine, surrounded by locals. Rooms upstairs are compact but clean and well-maintained.  Does the job nicely at an extremely reasonable price.

Closest hotel to Abbaye de Fontenay

Good breakfast, plenty of room, otherwise it's a very good hotel for the price, but the stairs are a little narrow and the rooms are a little small.

Stage hotel.

A small geocaching weekend in Semur-en-Auxois decided at the last minute and you're in Marmagne. The Marmagne, a small family hotel, as you can still find in the province, away from the big hotel chains. Our room was rather small, but big enough to spend two nights there. As for the bathroom, all in length, it seemed to have been refurbished recently.

I was quite happy with my overnight stay at Le Marmagne; I would recommend this small hotel to another traveler, as long as I made it clear what to expect: it might or might not meet another person's needs. 
The hotel is small, with sleeping rooms above a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It is at the edge of a road on which the traffic is fairly light and moves at low speed. When I arrived, earlier than the check-in time, one woman was responsible for both serving lunch in the restaurant and welcoming guests: she understandably asked me to wait, which I did while enjoying coffee, and she showed me my room when she had a spare moment. The building is of an era when stairs were narrower and steeper; I don't think there is an elevator.  The room was small but quite clean and pleasantly decorated. The private bathroom was up a few stairs at the far end of the room. The bed was comfortable.  
My room was on the first (to Americans the second) floor, directly above the dining room, and during the dinner hour the sounds below were a bit loud: a person who really needs quiet might want to request a room on the next floor up. At other times I was aware of activity on the street and at the restaurant's outdoor tables, but it was fairly low-key even with the window open. 
All the staff were courteous, cordial, and efficient.
The small town of Marmagne is a logical choice for someone who is planning to visit Fontenay Abbey. Le Marmagne is inexpensive and well-maintained; as a traveler who prefers a hotel that is privately owned and has character, I very much enjoyed it.

Small, clean, cheerful room; modest price

It's not a big luxury, but given the price, it's a perfect match for what we were looking for. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is clean, and the soundproofing is a little bit desirable, but unless we have very noisy roommates, it's still bearable.

Honestly

It's a very good stop to cycle through the Burgundy Canal, the rooms are sober, the dinner is great for 13.5 euros, the breakfast was great, no noise to sleep, we went back in shape to pedal, to advise on this kind of hiking.

The room is spacious, and the cleanliness at the Rdv.A solid breakfast is served in the morning.It's good for a trip step.Parking is possible on site.See the Bp TV too small.
