I attached two photos attesting to the authenticity of what I report. At the booking in March the advertised rate is 25 euros per person in the dormitory. a confirmation email asks for 30% of the amount is 30 euros for a total of 100 euros to pay for 4. At the time of payment, we present ourselves at 3, and it is 47 euros per person. I note, the boss does not seem to understand. I pay. When I look at the bill I notice that it again the consumption regulation already settled. It makes mistakes, or a lot of willingness to cheat? to close the picture the dormitory is clean, floors, bad smell... in bad beds to try to make a few doubts, and the boss is engaged in a lot of fleeing approaches.

Searching for Mistakes or Cheating

Reservation made by phone several weeks before the stay where we announce 55€ for a night in a double room. At the time of payment it is not 55€ per room but per person and as we were two that makes 110€ or the price of a 2 star hotel whose room is far from meeting the standards. The hotel website does not indicate any rates and the fact that the prices are per person and not for a room is mentioned in the general terms of sale via a link (which many do not wish to read) and specifies in addition that posteriori claims are not accepted.

Beware of advertised prices

We came to spend 3 nights as a family in this hostel. The reception is very friendly, the rooms are very decent. The dinner is excellent and pleasant, the breakfasts are also very good, bread, jams, pancakes and honey from the commune to fall.

Calm and welcoming

I'm going out with friends after a walk in Auvergne, the four-person bedroom is not bright, the hotel is a bit special, but the dining is fine, and for one night, it'll be all right, I don't think.

Occasional trip

The boss is really unpleasant and the prices are prohibitive. 25 euros 4 beers and a coca. We had a good memory of a trip 13 years ago, what a disappointment. We won't be back.

It's a very unfortunate reception.

So we have to take a step back from Tripadvisor's reviews: because of them we almost didn't go to this hostel and we would have missed a very good stage.

A nice and smiling welcome from Catherine, the owner. A very good meal after a 60 km stage on the GTMC. It's a shame that route was diverted. But the detour is worth it for both the accommodation and the specificity of the Upper and Lower Lake.

We must encourage the Gites er the Hostels

At the same time, we offered ourselves a getaway to La Godivelle, half boarding house at the Gîte des sagnes et découverte de Godiv' ART. Well received at the gîte, the dinner was perfect 51€/person half boarding house nothing to reproach, quiet, clean and spacious muffins room, bathroom with Italian shower, firm bed, only the pillows were a little too flexible, and the windows do not allow to enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside.

It's a nice walk.

We were greeted by Catherine, the colourful headmistress, who prepared us a delicious and pleasant meal. After our bike ride, we found comfort and a beautiful atmosphere.

Holidays

On our return from a hike around 6:00 p.m., my husband and I were able to get discouraged despite the manager's very unkind attitude: she expressed her dissatisfaction with the fact that the establishment closed at 5:00 p.m. which is not indicated anywhere. We discussed this with two other couples sitting on the terrace, as big as we were and unaware that the inn was no longer welcoming guests. We deplored the abominable attitude, the lack of professionalism of this manager and the poor image given then of our area and its people.
