Hotel well located, close to the centre. Proper, air-conditioned room. After a friendly welcome we had an unpleasant moment linked to the manager who entrusted us with the keys to our two rooms booked in advance. Once on site, the rooms do not match our reservation and we enjoy a family room (not available at the reservation). I inform the manager that we are enough and he will exchange the key to the other room by asking him for a commercial gesture. He replies that if he returns it to someone he offers us breakfast (already paid). The room is very quickly locked and we did not have a single reminder, sir once confused himself in the discourse The two people who did not take the key to the bank, did not make any impression of the bank, and for a moment it was not possible!

Check your rooms before you pay!

We can hear the instructions gladly, this being a tone to take. Semi-cleaned room. Dust on furniture (see antihistamines), lots of lots of lots of hair in the sheets. We reflect and take it in our mouths  Ah no no no no no I made the sheets myself not without hair!  Ah unless I have become a hairdresser I don't think I put them myself. I ask kindly for the future victims of these places not to put the price of 60 euros above all because it doesn't fit the desired expectations at all.

Mediocre

This hotel represented an affordable option for a night in Pau as part of a road trip through France and Spain and I did not have high expectations.  We arrived to the owner having a heated discussion on the phone and were ignored without so much as a Gallic shrug and when we did gain her attention there was much confusion about our online booking.  The common areas are definitely quirky and could be cleaner however the bedding and rooms were clean enough, if rather dated and tired.  The walls are paper thin and TV noise, conversation and even snoring from nearby rooms is pretty audible.

The hotel is more like a hostel or a 1980s ski chalet than a hotel and although it was cheap by local standards I’m not sure it was good value for money

Quirky and very French

I keep from my stay of a week in this hotel the memory of a place full of history, full of the charm of the authenticity, simplicity and great humanity of these owners. Here you are received as at home, this is how I like to find refuge away from home. Comfort is present in the room, clean and functional equipment. Thank you again for your sympathy! Marie Francoise

authenticity, great experience and know-how

During my six-day stay in Pau, the hotel's board of directors provided me with all kinds of amenities.The building is old, but with all the amenities needed to have a pleasant stay.The buffet breakfast had the basics (croissant, bread, biscuits and toast, plus fruit), but all of it was of good quality.

Treatment is inmejorable.

I've spent 2 nights in this hotel for a business trip. The room was in the 2nd floor. I appreciate the location, the bedding was great too. This hotel is old and need to refreshing job. Appart from that, all works as it should.

Good for short stay

Everything is very dated, room, SDB. The TV user is not simple! 1st floor in a narrow staircase. No elevator obviously! The receptionist is faithful to the whole...gentle but unresponsive. I almost cut my stay down!

A small price... We understand why

The owners are friendly but the hotel is of a different age. Decoration dated, used mock up no elevator well placed with a large parking lot in front of the hotel (1 euro per half day) quality ratio price not very good

hotel from another time

If you need a place in the centre for a quick one night stay than this is it. The price is around €55 and it is centrally located. It is a low budget place but for just a bed to sleep for 8 hours it is perfect

Perfect for just a quick one night stay

Temperature is hot because there is no air conditioning. Decoration from another era (painted paper, curtains, lustres). Old bathroom without a blender. Spider web in toilets.
