Melozzo (painter) If you are a fan of the authenticity of the old walls, then you can visit this establishment, provided that this is the only reason. For the rest, a traveler who wants to enjoy the minimum of comfort that a hotel must offer to his customers, then go your way. Here, no bloom and no respect for it. The magnificent views of this generous nature with the rocks plunging into the blue sea are not enough to mask the state of decay of the premises. The rooms we have booked are not really worth the detour. Alone, the chainsalubrity dominates.

Hotel of the Desolation in Pigna.

It's not for the restaurant but for everything else. Already, access is on foot as well as by car. It's highly advised against people of a certain age because there are more than 300 meters to walk on a completely rotten and very steep road. Parking at 300m. 15 euros a night. As for rooms, without air conditioning, without WiFi, they are difficult to access by uneven and very high steps. The view of mere is limited to a small window 1.5m wide over 20cm high. The oysters are rusty and the doors moulded. Everything is at the edge of the insalubrite.

Hotel that could be called a youth hostel for the accessibility and difficulty of walking with suitcases.

The view from the hotel is amazing but that's all. The local charm of the rooms is pushed to its extreme. The handle of the bathroom door no longer holds. The sink and toilet are cracked. The faucet is no longer completely sealed and the bathroom wall is covered with mold. Welcome  ♀️

Tourist trap

The food is very good and the view is just wow. I suggest you book in advance because the seats leave quickly. The staff is very kind but quickly overwhelmed seeing the blankets. If you want to go back to your childhood kitchen go without hesitation. It's just a treat. I recommend.

Discovering Without Moderation

Excellent cuisine (except for the little one). That said, the service there is deplorable...and arrogant, not at the height of the site, the rooms or the kitchen of the restaurant (hence my note), nor the price 1- Arriving at the hotel on a Saturday evening, in season, we realize that it is impossible to park in either the public car parks or on the roadside. You have to park and walk for a kilometer. it seems that there is not enough badge to access the parking lot of the village kitchen and/or that residents did not have them...

That's a shame.

Although the village of Pigna offers a nice view of the Casa Musical, the establishment is ageing. Room accessible with extremely steep stairs, old bathroom with a smell of sewage. The terrace is very nice but breakfast is not worth 13€ (no Viennese, no fresh bread, no fresh fruit juice, coffee and chocolate in an industrial machine...).

Poor price ratio

The historic house is located in the centre of Pigna and is therefore not accessible by car, which is an advantage to know. Our room had a large roof terrace, with a great view, but only two uncomfortable chairs. The bathroom had a bathtub with shower, unfortunately without a shower curtain. The bed was smaller than usual. The very popular restaurant to the house has above-average prices. But since you can hardly eat anywhere else, you depend on it.

We were hoping for more...

We stayed here one night and we didn't feel well at all. The room is moved from the main structure (which is not specified at the reservation). The staff was immediately rude from the beginning but especially at dinner time. We didn't eat well for how much we spent. I'm sorry because I expected much more.

That's a bad stay.

Very nice view on the terrace but very disappointed by the average kitchen overall and very disappointing for the beef ratings from 500g to 40€ full of nerves (impossible to cut without tearing it apart - not very pleasant when you like the meat) requested blue what was the case but served cold explaining to us that it could not be otherwise meat lover I confirm that blue and hot is possible with a good cooking that controls the heat of its brush and who calls the waiters when the dishes are ready otherwise the meat actually cooled

Disappointed - Very nice view and that's it

A pleasant stay in this authentic Corsican house with the warm and musical atmosphere- The staff is very friendly and never lacks good advice to discover the wonders of Corsica and Balagne in particular- I recommend this establishment
