We were very well received. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is family-friendly and traditional, with quality products and sufficient quantity. The setting is convenient for rest. A garage has been made available for us to park the motorcycle. I recommend.

The Motorcycle Step

The water in the pool was warm, the house was clean, and the air in the Cantal is a real buffet of air. We will return without hesitation, a very nice experience!

That's really cool.

The reception is smiling and pleasant. The room is spacious and functional. There is a small TV. There is a bathroom with Italian shower. Everything is very clean. Bigger: an indoor swimming pool, in a heated space. Tres pleasant with a mountain view. The only small bemool: breakfast is lacking in Viennese. But the quality/price ratio is really favorable, and the situation not far from the highway exit allows for a quiet night of staying.

It's a very nice hostel.

After 2 visits, I recommend this hostel 100%. The scenery is fantastic. The swimming pool overlooking the countryside and horses are next to it (as a horse rider I can only appreciate it). The meals are delicious and the staff is very warm. The dinner downstairs is a real pleasure. The rooms are rustic and are very pleasant.

A small paradise

Correct installation but beware of the HOUSE that welcomes with its hooks if you return to your motorcycle🙄 2 out of 7 had this disappointment which did not formalize its bosses at all!

Step on the Way Back

Friendly reception in this hostel near the viaduct, spacious room with bathtub, quiet, cozy and affordable dining, recommended without hesitation.

Stays on the road for holidays

We were very happy to stop in this guest room located at 1050 m in the mountains. Very quiet place, very nice view especially in good weather. Very courteous home and spacious rooms clean and comfortable with TV and wifi (doesn't always work). Beautiful bathroom with Italian shower. The guest table is very copious with excellent terroir products. Don't miss it! Ordinary breakfast bread, jam, orange juice, coffee, tea etc... served between 7:30 and 9:00! it's a little early when you're in a place where you sleep so well! when it's really the only reproach I can make but we'll go back to it even because it's worth the trip!

All rooms in the DRC

After a long climb, the Volpilières Hostel welcomes you into a new landscape and relaxing décor. Very beautiful rooms, swimming pool, restaurant at the top. The only drawback, no blue card. I highly recommend this step.

Not to be missed

No frill accommodation but splendid views, good hearty food and a warm welcome. We were exhausted after a day cycling but the views were worth the last climb! Our room was simple but clean. We were housed in a new chalet behind the main auberge as there was a very big family party there already.
